100 miles in one month, join me now!
I've decided to set a goal for myself to run/walk 100 miles in a month. That's approximately 3.3 miles per day! I thought it would be fun to open this challenge to everyone, so we can see each others progress, motivate each other and work toward this goal together! Today was my first day and I (briskly) walked 3.261 miles in 60 minutes. I will definitely be picking up the pace as I go to make sure that I reach my goal of 100 miles by the end of the month. That's approx 259 cal/burned per day which equals 7,770 calories in one month! I am doing this challenge along with the 45 days to Bikini Ready workout (see here: http://dailyburn.com/training_plans/384411-45-Days-Days-to-Bikini-Ready) Who would like to join me??! Here's a little fun fact about what you'll be burning: Calories Burned Although calorie calculators provide only estimations, according to the American Council on Exercise, a 150-lb. person will burn about 259 for every hour she walks at a brisk pace. A brisk pace is considered to be about 3.5 mph. Walking at 3.3 mph would therefore equate to a little less than 259 calories burned per hour.
