So, where is everybody riding and what mileage are your trying to reach in 2012? I live in San Antonio, TX and hope to improve on my ~1,800 miles in 2011 by exceeding 2,000 in 2012 |

@Bkane, between commuting and completing the SF to LA AIDS/Lifescycle ride I hope to get in 5K this year. That would be a bump of about 2K over last year. |

@BKane thanks to our above avg temps (only been below 0 F about 4 days) I’ve actually been able ti ride outside almost every week. Just got dne with a 40 mile ride in the snow @ 21 degree F. Rear deraileur froze and ended up with a single speed but still can’t complain about riding outside in ND before April. |

Thanks @mrosa, actually it has been 7.5 one direction for one leg of my commute or 15 round trip, plus 12 miles in the spin gym at lunch on weekdays. Those spin miles don’t show up in this challenge. So while it might look a little odd to go from 7.5 mile posts to 101.1 it actually is not. I am in training for the SF to LA AIDS ride and in addition to the combined 29 miles on the average weekday, I have been putting in 30-40 mile rides on weekends over the last few months. Again, laying the foundation for last Sunday’s Century. Of course that is nothing compared to the 10,161.33 miles you did yesterday. :) Problem with these challenges is they are completely unforgiving with mis-entry. They act a bit like lobster traps, you can get your efforts in, but they require a request to the site administrator to get things out. Best. to you. |
