Great idea! I’ve been looking for a legit running challenge for beginners. I hate running! But I have to… Found out I have high cholesterol and need to lose about 20 lbs…. Good luck everyone!

I’m back to running again after a chest injury and developing asthma. This should be a great challenge to get me back to where I was a year ago.

I Lost 20 Lbs! I Lost 10 Lbs! I Walked 100 Miles!

Thanks for starting this. I’m not ready for some of the other running challenges, but I want to have some motivation! I started the Couch to 5K a few weeks ago. It’s going well. My New Year’s Resolution is to RUN a 5K. This should help keep me on track!

It’s pretty nasty out our way too, witeowl… I’m borrowing a treadmill from a buddy… Not only do I hate running, but I definitely hate doing it on a treadmill!

Woohoo! Finally got out there, but it wasn’t a great run. I just can’t seem to keep my heartrate low while running, no matter how slowly I go. I’ve tried keeping form and slowing down, I’ve tried striding further at a lower rate, and I’ve tried small strides at a high turnover rate. No matter what, it shoots right up.

ANYWAY… I ran today and I’m now… um… still dead last. I’d better step it up!

@two10eleven: Nice. There are treadmills at my gym, of course, but I’m a little stymied about doing my wogging program on the treadmill. I’ve committed to heartrate training for a while, and I just can’t figure out how to do the walk/run by HR thing on a treadmill while keeping track of walking distance vs running. When I was doing the c25k it was much simpler. Oh well, I’ll survive. ;)
