Man – I’m at the point in this process where it starts to get really hard. I can’t keep doing the same things because it’s stopped being effective, I have to change things up but I’m still not sure what or how. This is the point where it would be tempting to give up but I can’t do that so I just have to charge onward. Anyone have some ideas for some fun, low-impact exercises? |

We are 2 weeks in everyone – how’s it going? Not much chatter around here! Personally, I’m in trouble – doing alright but feeling a lot of stress and not making the goals I was hoping for. Time to switch things up I guess. Fight the good fight! Be ever awesome! |

This has been a lot harder than I imagined, but I think that the steps that I’m taking are changes that I will be able to maintain for the rest of my life. I felt sooo incredibly good going to the gym to do the treadmill, after 3 visits I thought I was ready to go on the eliptical. Boy was I wrong! 3 minutes and I was done, but I believe that within a few weeks I will be able to try again. I’ve had some eating challenges, and have a hard time keeping my carbs low and my protien up. I’m trying to eat a lot of cottage cheese and eggs, and that is helping. My family supports me 100%, but it’s hard for them to find ways to eat that meet all of our needs. My wife made lasagna with turkey meat and skim cheese, and while it still had more carbs than I would like I was able to eat a small portion. With birthdays, family get togethers, vacations and such it’s just hard! But with portion control, keeping my water intake up, vitamin supplements and staying accountable here I think I’m on the right track! I am looking into doing Body for Life, but someone suggest Turbulence Training instead? Does anyone have any experience with it? |

Hey everyone, just checking in… I have been eating much better and exercising, no real weight change to report yet :-( We had another child last weekend, so it has been harder to get to the gym. I am keeping with it at home with dumbbells, but eager to get back to the gym this week. @modestoluke: I did Body for Life back in college and dropped 35 pounds. I liked it quite a bit. My wife did it and only lost 2 pounds though. Your results may vary. |

Rock it! (Rocket?) Hope everyone is going strong! I’m learning a lot now about strength training vs. cardio, it’s really confusing to the beginner – no wonder this is all so complicated and difficult. |
