Have Something to Say?

Alright everyone – another week down! Wish there was more chatter in here but what can you do? How is it going? For me it’s going pretty well – I had some good losses this week followed by a little gain this morning. At this point I should be used to the pattern since it is an established one but it still irks me a little. Just have to keep going forward so no point in sitting around dwelling on what’s already been. Here we go! |

It’s been one month now everyone! This is when the road gets a bit tougher and you have to work harder to stay on track and motivated. If you are thinking about giving up – don’t. Keep your head up and move forward. This week was alright for me, standard lose and gain week though but steady progress seems to still be happening. Did a nice hike yesterday that wore me out but also felt pretty good. Let’s do this!! |

I cannot believe it’s been a month….it’s gone by so fast. I haven’t been doing nearly as good as I should be, especially with exercise…but i have been fairly consistent in tracking my food and I really think that has helped me to consistently lose. I’m waiting to hear from a surgeon to have my gall bladder removed and am curious as to how that will affect my plans to exercise. Also, I just heard from Richard Simmons and he wants to talk to me over the phone….I’ll be sure and tell him about Dailyburn. =) |

Luke – I had my gallbladder out a few years ago (I was 20) and it wasn’t too bad. Most people don’t even spend the night in the hospital these days. I was out canoeing within about 2-3 weeks (I can’t remember exactly). The first day or so I remember being painful but that it passed pretty fast. Ooo.. how did you hear from Richard Simmons? |

I’m really scared of the surgery, mostly because I remember how hard it was to find an anesthesilogist to put me out for the gastric bypass. They said that based on my weight, and I was 424 at the time, the risks were higher and they may have to intubate me while awake. I ended up with two anesthesiologists in the room and had no problems, but I am worried that I might end up with someone that understands that working on a heavy person is different. As for Richard, I wrote him a letter online a while back and sent him a link to my video…I don’t think I was really expecting a reply. It was on richardsimmons.com I used to think that the Gastric Bypass surgery would be my last hurrah…but that didn’t work out so well. I’m thinking that if anyone can help me develop willpower then Richard would be the person. He said, “I know that you want to lose weight for your wife and daughter, but we need to get you to want to do it for you…thats when the magic will happen!”. |

He’s so right about that – and then it will really click. I have that feeling right now, that this is for me, so that I can enjoy my life and do things I want to do. I hope he can help you and that’s great that he responds. I wish you the best of luck in sorting this all out man – it’s a tough battle but one worth fighting! If you ever need anything, feel free to message me! |

Just want to say that I am inspired by the many that have lost weight already! Makes me get out of bed and hit the trail a little harder now! Way to go! |

From last place at day one to first (for the moment) – feels really good! I’m going to hang on this moment before people get in and start putting in more losses. :) It would be cool to calculate the total loss for everyone in the challenge, should be impressive. Let’s do this thing! Oh and.. good morning everyone, do you have a plan for today to help you succeed? |

Enjoy it while it lasts Ang, we still got 57 days… Enough time for anyone to come out of the woodwork : ) For me, losing the weight is getting addictive- especially when you start to notice the physical changes! Good luck everyone! |

Man it seems like a long time but it will probably fly right by. After how today went food wise I won’t be surprised by a gain tomorrow. Oh well – just have to keep going day by day! |
