Elliptical the Road to Santiago de Compostela
The pilgrimage takes us from Le Puy, in south-central France to Santiago, in northwestern Spain. The trip is approximately 1000 miles and usually takes pilgrims two months. Along the way you will see grazing cattle and sheep, an occasional village and only a handful of people. You will see Conques, one of the most evocative Romanesque monastaries in France. You may have the chance to stay at the twelfth-century Knights Templar grange, Le Sauvage. In order to be receptive to this experience, the attitude of the pilgrim has to be free, spontaneous, unstructured. Enjoy and send pictures! |
