These Everyone Wins challenges are a great idea. Thanks Gyminee for raising the bar with another great feature!! Though someone there has a sense of humor it seems. Bike across America is measured in kilometers and Tour De France is measured in miles. :)

If, like me, you are metric challenged, here’s the conversions (I think, feel free to correct if I’m wrong).

1 mile equals ~1.61 km
1 km equals ~0.62 miles

I vote for keeping it this way vs changing challenge to miles – will make some of us at least exercise our brains in addition to exercising our bodies.

I Walked 100 Miles! I Biked 100 Miles!

My brain is exercised in other ways—I prefer miles vs km. WHy can’t we each have it our own way-if you want km, record thusly, if you want miles, use miles.

Plus the time indicated is almost always wrong: I put in some mileage, and it says I rode x miles 1 day ago, even tho I just put it in. Why not have the DATE it was accomplished?

Bicycling Champion I Biked Across America! Legs of Steel I did Le Tour de France! I Biked 100 Miles!

Personally I love cycling and do it almost every day, usually 20-25 miles, sometimes a little more depending on the traffic and how I feel, whether I decide to push it and ride fast or not. Have a race in the Georgia Golden Olympics coming up in September so I will be pushing it a little more the next few weeks. Anytime you’re on a bike counts right, so the 1500 feet on the BMX track counts as rouhly 1/4 mile. 1 actual moto is three races so each race is 3/4 mile and any gate practice/track practice counts. I can get 2 miles in at each race.

On August 29th if any of you are near Tifton Georgia you need to stop by and ride the Metric Century that is being held for Caroline Bailey http://www.carolinesride.com lots of fun for the whole family and you can add some miles/KM quickly with a fully supported ride.

The August 29th was fantatsic success, we were able to raise close to 8000.00 and ater expenses gave 5700.00 to the family. What a wonderful day with singing, dancing, professional wrestling, cycling, running, hamburgers, hot dogs, classic cars and just everyone having a great time, children had the bouncy house, balloons and face painting, it was great.

Will be racing the 23rd and 24th so will be getting in some fast miles this week nand next,.
Have a great day

Jerry
