Hint: A lot of users saying the same thing means there is a pretty good chance it will become a Gyminee feature before too long.

We are not planning to migrate any of the discussions from Get Satisfaction into here. If you want to re-post any of those threads onto here then that would be great, as we will only occasionally be checking in on the Satisfaction threads. It’s really up to you as to what you would like to re-post here.

We like the idea of Get Satisfaction and think it’s a cool web app, but at the same time we hate making Gyminee users sign up for a separate web app to discuss support issues. We feel the forum will be a much better place for that type of stuff.

Currently the did one of her personal workouts is shown because because it is a custom-made workout. The name is only shown when it is a public workout you have subscribed to.

I have been considering changing this however to show the name in both cases. If a couple of more people want to see that happen then I’ll do it. I may go ahead and make the change anyways if I find the time to do so.

One of our future goals is to be able to generate a really nicely formatted fitness report that could contain anything a user would want – something that they could print and take to their doctor, trainer, nutritionist, coach, etc.

There are a lot of features that could be incorporated in something like this, so everyone should feel free to voice their opinion here. If we get a good idea of what users are wanting then we’ll try to make it happen.

If you’re familiar with Facebook, then it is kind of like a users wall. It is not very structured, it’s just a place where the owner and their friends can post messages however they wish. That flexibility can lead to some confusion, Facebook’s wall has always confused me a little bit.

To answer your question more directly, the only notification that is currently given is through the GymBuddy News feed. To me it makes more sense to respond on the other user’s Journal, but like I was saying it is a flexible concept. We will probably add email notification at some point too.

Cool idea. Simple, but improves usability.

(2) change from search via hunt to search with faceted results (categorized); e.g. meat, then beef, then steak or fruit, then citrus or beverages, then alcohol, etc.

I like the concept, but it would require a lot of changes to the Gyminee nutrition database. Maybe some day, but probably not very soon.

I’d also like to see the search be able to search the brand name.

That is a high priority on my current task list. I hope to have it working fairly soon.

The next big feature we are working on is Gyminee Challenges. We have a lot of ideas on how this will work, but we also want to get feedback from our users.

I don’t want to pollute your minds just yet with our vision for Challenges, so let’s hear what you guys envision when you think about Gyminee Challenges.

Hmm, interesting since Gyminee Challenges will be our next big feature release. Here is a new topic I created for discussing challenges. We feel that this will be a huge factor in helping people get and stay motivated. Some friendly competition can really go a long way.

I think a maps feature would be a really awesome addition to Gyminee. It’s not really on our to-do list, but it’s always in the back of our minds. I would suggest that you post it in the Feature Requests forum and see what kind of attention it gets.
