I disagree, yoga is not just for old people. I know a friend who does yoga and he is about 30. And he’s is really good shape. It helps with bloodflow. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / Anyone is interested in yoga?? |

Try adjusting the sensor on your wii so it is perfectly perpendicular to you. It may be facing toward the ground or up in the air. Have you tried this? Topic: Fitness and Exercise / Wii - Biggest Loser Challenge Program |

It only counts as 50 if you are using a curl bar that weighs 50 pounds. I would count it as 25 pounds for each arm But what does it really matter anyway how you track it? You know what it is either way. |

I sing “Island in the Sun” by Weezer while I swim morning laps. It really helps keep my pace and keeps me entertained. I switch the song up every once in a while. Maybe I should get some underwater headphones. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / What Mind Games Do you play with yourself to stay Motivated? |

We always did this in swimming to strengthen our knees. You put your hand on one of your knees and move your knee in a circular motion, keeping you foot planted. It helps stretch the tendons, and will help you avoid tearing anything in your knees. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / Looking for exercises to strengthen knees |

I would get some track spikes and put 1/4" spikes on them, or even 1/8" ones if you can find them. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / Winter Running - It's too icy! |

Cardio is definitely good for removing fat in general. Sticking with lower weight and higher reps I find is better than high weight, because it builds less muscle, and helps lengthen the muscles in your arms. |

I would even consider talking to your doctor about a beta blocker which will help your heart rate stay somewhat lower, if you’re worried about your heart sputtering out of control. It will still go up with exercise but shouldn’t go out of control. |

What!! Your foot doesn’t even pound into a stair stepper like it does on real steps! It’s so much smoother, maybe it would be bad for your knees if you already heave bad knees, but not for a person with average knees. I think this is hogwash. |

Another good source of motivation is the video “My New Haircut” on youtube. Look it up and tell me you’re not motivated after watching that. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / What Mind Games Do you play with yourself to stay Motivated? |

Usually chocolate milk only has about 8 grams of protein while most protein shakes have 20 or more. But chocolate milk tastes a heck of a lot better if you ask me. Topic: Supplements / Chocolate Milk instead of protein shake? |

I have the same problem, you may not think so b/c of my username lol but I have been 163 for the past year and I tried drinking protein shakes and working out for a while and it did nothing. But I didn’t really stick to it that long. I’m sure if you stick with it it’ll help you gain weight in muscle. Topic: Supplements / Trying to gain muscle |
