Nothing would beat a few different sizes of kettlebells. Do swings for a couple minutes a day and you will get toned with a minimal investment. Bodyweight exercises work well too. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / Which exercise machine should i get? |

I agree with some of the other posts…about eating before you workout. Your body is only capable of one or the other at a time, digestion, or exercise….pick one. There should be at least 2-3 hours of time between a meal and a workout. Save the big meal for your recovery meal, and same with the muscle milk, that is a post workout supplement. Lose the weight slowly to preserve muscle mass. Ideally eating a good clean diet in a good calorie range and using exercise to knock off the weight will result in maintained, if not gained muscle during your fat loss. Take your time, you don’t get fat overnight, so don’t expect to get fit that way either. |

Do planks and oblique twist to get the abdominals stronger without the back pain, and add some squats to the regime to get your testosterone elevated. A good natural multi vitamin is a good bet, as well as getting a good supply of EFA’s (essential fatty acids) from fish supplements, or foods such as seafood, avocados, olive oil, and nuts. |

A sustained release tablet also needs to have specific fillers to make it work. A good natural multi, once or twice in a day will yield the most trusted results. The vitamins should look like they were made out of food, green and brown and beige are colors to look for all mixed together. If your tablet is orange, white, red, blue or anything else that doesn’t look like “food” could have made this, don’t take it. Topic: Supplements / Sustained Release MultiVitamin vs. Twice a day? |

Dehydration decreases the amount of lubrication in your joints and this can lead to joint pain during prolonged and even short exercising. |

The crunches should be changed to planks, the supermans I would change to good mornings, lose the chin ups, and do one legged squats if you can do more than 15 in a set. 3 sets should be fine for now, but as your fitness improves the sets will go up unless you add weight. |

It is ok to be below them if you are trying to lose weight, as long as you are above them at least every 4th day to prevent a metabolic slowdown. Carb cycling is an excellent way to lose unwanted fat. |

As long as you don’t go way over or way under for several consecutive days, the range really does not matter. These caloric numbers are just a baseline anyways, and does not cover everybody as we all have different life and body factors the play a role. |

Listen to chaddukes. The bulking and cutting phases are overrated and not very healthy. The slow build, meaning building muscle while losing fat can in most cases, be healthier, and faster than a bulk and cut scenario. When you bulk, then cut, you lose a fairly large portion of muscle that you worked so hard to get. Building to lose fat will give you the slow and steady returns, like the tortoise and the hare, except it is not as slow as most people think. Topic: General Health / Cut or Build |

I am a type 1 diabetic as well, but it has never hampered my training or my sporting events. I have taken many supplements while diabetic to “help” with my BG and can assure you that some things do actually help the insulin work, for me, I cannot guarantee that the same results for anybody else as we are all different. If you have good control, my A1C was 5.5 and has always been between 4.5 and 6.7. Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions or concerns as I have spent quite a bit of time trying to learn to somehow defeat this disease. Topic: General Health / Diabetes |

Nuts and seeds are a great start to fix both issues, as good fats and fiber are a man’s best friend. Follow that with more veggies and fruits for overall health from vitamins, anti-oxidants, and more fiber. Topic: General Health / prostate supplements |

The power blocks are nice, but pricey, I use bars and plates because the possibilities are endless with the weight. The bands might also tide you over though. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / Buying New Weights - opinions needed plz |
