Take your time and work your way up. Make sure your form is correct. Try to improve at every workout. That’s my opinion anyways. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / Ab training- should I start easier? |

I usually go over on my carbs as well, but don’t sweat it. The difference being is that I usually consume a minimum of 9 cups of veggies daily. I get most of my carbs from veggies instead of grains. One thing that I’ve noticed is that many people barely even get 3 cups of veggies in ever day… which I find astonishing. Try switching prepared carbs for ‘natural’ carbs instead… such as steal cut oats and veggies. Topic: Diet and Nutrition / Help in not eliminating but controlling carbs |

I’ve added a few supplements that have seemed to helped me with the effects of DOMS. BCAA’s, Glutamine and Creatine. Of course, do your own research before using supplements. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / DOMS/soreness & feeling feverish |

I started Glutamine first, without BCAA’s and Creatine, and noticed improvement from DOMS, personally. I stopped it (due to medical testing). For me, personally, it seems to have helped. Again, do your own research. Since I noticed a difference = I continued. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / DOMS/soreness & feeling feverish |

I’m not the type of person that believes in things just because I hope that it’ll work. I’ve read articles where others have noticed a difference. Perhaps the variable of my prescription medications effects the result. I don’t know, but for me, it works. There are articles that support the benefits in assisting with the repair of tissue of trauma victims. DOMS is a result of trauma, mind you minor, but trauma nonetheless. Again I do suggest to do own research before using any supplements. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / DOMS/soreness & feeling feverish |

EK – At what point did I say that I recommend using these? Not once. I provided my personal experience and advised them to do their own research before using any supplements. I never one stated that anyone else should use these supplements. Good luck to you asyalieberman. I wish you the very best. Cheers. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / DOMS/soreness & feeling feverish |

I really like moose meat and venison but rarely eat them because I no longer live near my family that does the hunting. I also really enjoy elk and bison (not so much wild game). I’ve never tried eating squirrel or gater… I don’t actually know anyone that has… Not common where I live. If you could compare it to other meat, what would you compare those to? splashangel – I buy my meat directly from a local small scale biodynamic farm (Ferme Dagenais). The farmer allows people to come by for guided tours. The animals, which include chicken, pigs, ducks, cows, etc, are free-range and allowed to forage. I prefer to buy from the local farmer because its sustainable, supports the local farmer/economy and the animals are being raised in a good environment. I drive about 45 minutes in each direction; which is why I only do it every 2 months. I often pick up orders for my sister and parents in law at the same time. I found this link which may be helpful if you are interested in finding local farms… Since the majority of people on this site are from USA, I’m going to assume that you are (since you have gators and no moose :) http://www.localharvest.org/ I’m not sure how good this link is, but I’m sure there are others. As far as whether the meat is healthier than wild meat, I’m not sure. I would tend to think wild meat would have less fat since they are eating a natural diet, not one in which they are force fed grains to fatten up. I would think that biodynamic farms would be similar, but can’t say for sure as I haven’t researched it fully. Topic: Diet and Nutrition / Wild game |
