Regarding QR codes in Japan: I rarely see them being used. I only use them to share my contact info with someone else through my iPhone, since I can’t do it via IR. It’s really mostly used to pull up store info, or a website. Nutritional info? Yeah right. Those things are barely even written on products here. Nutritional data in Japan is strictly limited to: Eating out? If you use the QR code to pull up restaurant’s homepage, now you have to find your way to it’s nutritional data section. That is, if they have one to begin with. A lot of places (save for the REALLY big stores, like McD’s), hide that stuff deep in their homepages, and then when you do find it, it’s a PDF that your phone may or may not support. Moral of the story: QR codes are great, I LOVE them, but nutritional data is kinda lame here, compared to US and Canadian counter-parts. I’ve just started using DailyBurn, and I’m plugging in as much data as I can for any product I buy here in Japan. Hopefully, with FoodScanner, the DB community in Japan can easily pull up data much faster than your standard mobile website! Topic: Feature Discussion / Texting to manage daily diet. Case study and web developer considerations included. |

If you wanna be a motivator for someone, or vice versa, just post your interest here. A simple “Here!” or “Invite on!” will do for a post! Nice and simple. This thread will be the one stop source for people looking to motivate and be motivated! Topic: Motivation and Support / Motivator Lobby |

When I head over to the Locker Room, the main Progress Chart displays body weight. I often like to see Body Weight and Protein plotted on the graph. But it seems that every time I head to a different page on Dailyburn, or exit altogether, and come back to the Locker Room, only Body Weight is displayed again. Is there anyway to set it to always show the two sets of data that I want to see by default? |

I think the community here in DB wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t determined and committed people had an interest in fitness. Dishonesty, though possible and quite easy, would just be so out of place on this site! In any case, be happy that these challenges exist in the first place as you are not fighting for little .GIF stars, but for YOU to get in shape, whether you end up 1st place or not. So, keep up the hard work everyone! |
