hmm well all i can say is since ive cut down on diet pop and coffee , replacing these with juice and water and monitoring the amount of water i get

i haven’t had a migraine now considering i used to get one every other day minimum even though i didn’t feel dehydrated i must have been doesn’t explain how i got enough water from food or other sources

like most things each body is different mine seems to do well on the 8/10 + glasses a day more if i have had a good training session

Hello

Just curious really as I have not been able to hit my DB food targets at all yet but mainly as I find it somewhat difficulty to pack away that much food in a day
But as I am dieting I don’t see this as to much of a bad thing although don’t want to be stuck in starvation mode
As I seem to have a general caloric deficit range of 600 / 1000 calories a day with half the suggested amount of fat i force myself as close as i can to the protein target but have no problems hitting the carbs target at all lol
I have recently switched to eating 6 times a day small meals / snacks as healthy as possible
I use the elliptical every morning and am generally hitting 5/6k set on random hill somewhere around 12 to 15 my current goal been 5k in 30 mins making sure my bpm is up around 135/148 for the majority of the run
And do weights 3 times a week following a beginner’s routine I found on bodybuilding .com as good a place to make a start as any I thought
I have myself down as lightly active not sure if this counts as that or?
Im not seeing a massive amount of actual weight loss although I defiantly am packing on muscle tone which I know weighs more than fat
Mainly after opinions as looking at the weekly overview it seems to suggest that I would on average loose 3kg a month does that sound about right? Or is it too much!
Any opinions?

That’s what i was thinking sure some days i haven’t eaten much hence why i guess i got in to a mess in the first place wrong food choice and been stuck in perpetual starvation mode though im slowly upping that
That’s a good point ill take the advanced mode off thankfully my weight is stable bar minor variations
Im guessing it was the way DB was displaying the information that rang my alarm bells
i managed to catch one of the sports trainers at work today to go over some of the calculations I had come up with which seem to be more in the right range than what db has being reporting
im guessing the advanced mode settings would be if i was carrying a very low % of body fat thus to maintain my self ?
Also given I do weights 3 days a week and on average 500 cal of cardio 5 days a week though my job is around 60% sedationary i wasn’t sure if i fitted in to sedationary, lightly or moderately active? after working out my own mbr seems to be around the 2200 cal / day mark

Ps just spotted some lush recipes on your website can’t wait to try out :)

A decent protein powder generally isn’t a problem to mix on the hoof

I use a blender bottle ( the one with the whisk ball in ) and just add cold water straight out the drinking fountain at the gym :)

Sure getting ink hurts i have enough done to know about it ,
Piercings sing for about 10 seconds its generally only the day after and normally just feel slightly annoying

but the basics have to come in to play here uve found your design my suggestions are print it off and pin it somewhere u can see it daily after all its going to be on you for a long time so ensure you are happy with it .

search around find a good artist and go talk to them in person look at their past work see if its up to your standards not there’s !

talk through what you want in detail so they get a good idea of what you want and take reference material with you the more the better

all my ink is totally custom done and 95% of it hand drawn on me by the artist no templates so i know its 100% custom 1 off :) going somewhere and seeing 3 people with the same flash is just a no no in my eyes but that’s only my opinion

Ps don’t go for smaller, you loose detail ! and dont last as long (by that i mean look as good for long)
hand or neck tattoos unless you have a lot of ink already and that’s your life style :)

I go twice a day most days depends how much I want to get done in the time I have available
Meaning what time I get myself out of bed without been to tired

I break it up
30/45 min cardio / 3 days a week (usually mornings)
15/20 min cardio (morning) 15 min cardio / weights 3 days a week
1 Day active rest / Light cardio 30 mins

only problem is it’s not over all designed to build vast amounts of muscle as I wanted to shred my excess before going down that rout for maintenance though I am packing on some just not an overall lot though my strength is defiantly increasing week to week

I generally in a day I try and watch my cal burn and keep it to around 500/800 heavy days 300 Light days
And adjust my intake accordingly how much I do really depends on how I feel trying not to overdo it totally

Although using my Salter mi body scales over a week I add around 1%/1.5% muscle gain
But loose .5/.75% of that dieting over the weekend even with maintenance calories achieved
(Could be the creatine leavening my system as I generally only use it on weights days )

One thing to defiantly watch doing it is ensure you get adequate sleep levels and fuel appropriately i did read somewhere someone doing a similar thing and they were fueling

Pre Cardio carbs. Post cardio Protein. Pre weights Protein + carbs. Post weights Protein.
On Double session days
Claiming this was helping them maintain muscle mass while shredding fat sounds plausible though ive not been that over all dedicated to it lol im happy im loosing fat :) if this is owt to go by at easter i was 112.7 KG weighted in this morning at 98.4 which ive been hovering around for the last week or so. so im guessing atm i need to adjust my workouts / intake some how

The main big negative to doing it is the amount of washing you build up lol

for things like that i just use the slider depending on how much effort you had to put in to do the excercise

4 sets 20 pushups no weight but set to very easy 32 cal burnt
4 sets 20 pushups no weight but set to hard 96 cal

sounds about right to me

Same here though my HRM seems to be playing up of late

20 mins in to my cardio i was apparently still at 76 bpm
(Random hill on an elliptical level 17 5 km in) somehow i doubt it lol

Most times I just put the distance in and use the slide bar and take the cal count it gives me with a pinch of salt I know im in negative cals by what im eating alone so any work outs are just pure bonus :)

as a rule of thumb ive noticed that DB over estimates by around 10% or more depending on the work out

quickest way of doing it is to have a few differnt cardio routines setup or weights for that matter and just put in the distance / slider / cal count if you know it once everything is set it iteraly takes seconds to post unless you need to add or chainge things

i find it difficult to but i have noticed it really depends on my timing and what im having
so i have started having most of my carbs early in the day so i can just have light meals in the afternoon/ evening salads ect and I’ve started supplementing the calorific value with nuts and beans as according to this i don’t get enough oils ?
Generally still maintaining around 2000 cal a day some times a bit more some times a bit less.
but im still loosing so im happy :)

Any one tried this

Currently i do a lot of just cardio and lifting
After having a look at the DVD’s it seems interesting but couldn’t fathom out if it was just a gimmick thing

Any one actually follows these workouts?

to be fair i use my scales every day as they give me a daily BMR which i have been following and getting some good results

pics i generally just take one a week for comparison

ok so maybe im obsessed but its working so im happy lol :)

ready for it probably not !!!

tho i have watched the dvd’s and am at the moment incorperateing some of the bits in to my routine to start targeting certan groups i feel are lacking at the moment

i was more interested as it seems to incorperate some yoga moves which i could use to become a little more flexable

but as i dont finish my current training program for another 6 weeks was left curious about them lol
