Just thinking out loud: It seems to me that the calorie goal function is incorrect. It basically estimates an average daily calorie requirement based on my estimate of activity for a week (to get a BMR estimate) and then lowers it by a little to get to a weight loss goal. My issue is that it assumes an average – ie. that one eats the same every day regardless of work-outs. Personally, I like to eat a lot more on days I work out, and less on “lazy” days I think of daily calorie goals as Base BMR In other words, I eat what I burn (less a little if losing weight). Anyway, just thinking out loud as I don’t think I would ever try to hit the calorie amount suggested by Gyminee as I would rather eat more than that average if I have a big work out Any thoughts? FYI: Gyminee has an 8 exercise workout called “In Home Body Weight Workout” that says “This workout is designed for individuals who do not belong to a gym and want to workout at home with no equipment. All exercises will be performed with body weight. http://www.gyminee.com/workout_programs/13876-I… It certainly makes me sore ;) Topic: Fitness and Exercise / Reaching my Strength goals with limited equipment |

I downhill ski quite a lot and while it always leaves me pretty tired, I am surprised how many calories are associated with this workout. I skied 6 hours today and Gyminee says that is over 3000 calories burned. Dumb question: should I be excluding the time going UP the chair lifts? ;) PS – Gyminee: PLEASE add cross-country skiing to list of workouts Topic: Fitness and Exercise / Ski Calories - Dumb Question of the Day |

Hi, Not sure if this is a “how to” question or a feature request. 1. How do I view cumulative distance for a cardio activity? I realize as a Pro user I could use a custom field in Body tracker but this would mean enter the info twice. The data must be tracked as it is used in challenges, but I can’t see a report (except by entering a challenge). 2. How do I see AVERAGE % calories consumed by category (Carbs, fat, protein, etc) over some sort of date range? 3. It would be nice to see Exercises recorded exclude individual little exercises and only cardio. For example, I want to see how many days I have cycled, ran, XC skied etc. But If I do a circuit of 8 small exercises (like pushups) it lists 8 exercises, so the stat become meaningless over time. Anyway, not complaining, just asking. (and looking forward to when there will be a complete daily calory in/out report including BMR). Topic: Support/Help / Report Questions |

Hi, It would be nice to have some minimal report customizations options. For example, I don’t lift weights: it would great to delete that empty graph ;) |

Minor thought: step one: before you can lose weight, stop the weight increases. You need to fix your bad eating habits An idea: fruit is like healthy candy good luck Topic: Diet and Nutrition / I cannot control my eating of junk food |

Personally, I think the default for new foods should be that they are only usable by the user that made it – and not added to everyone’s search database. For example, I add a lot things that are Swiss … and I doubt that helpful. When I search certain items …. the choices seem a bit baffling sometimes, and it seems only likely to increase. thoughts? Topic: Feature Discussion / Everyone updating the Food database ... a good thing? |

Can you think of a work around so I can have a Cross Country Ski distance challenge ….. as it is not an option for distance challenges. I don’t run (just cycle, and XC ski) so could I somehow use a run exercise to book Cross Country ski workouts? I don’t care if it’s only me in the challenge. Just trying to motivate myself. thanks (je devrais dire “merci” à Calvin) |
