If you were stranded and had no immediate source of food except for what you have with you which consists of three things, 2 food items and 1 drink. What would you wish you had with you ?
I would have crunchy peanut butter, apple and coconut water.

OK, this is revealing…pinto beans, dark yams, and coffee.
It was hard to choose between the pinto beans and my other favorite food..oatmeal. The coffee though was no contest.

Potatoes (or brown rice), fish and water (if there was water then whole milk). Should stay relatively healthy on that.. but I will miss coffee a lot, but this would be a good time to get off it all together. :D

In order to maintain proper nutrition and become the healthiest I would have to pick brown rice, chicken and for a drink green tea. I would choose brown rice because it provides long lasting fullness. Chicken is great for protein. Green tea is excellent for the antioxidants which is great for overall cell health.

If I were stranded for one day, then a can of baked beans (for energy), Chef Salad (for more), and a bottle purified water.
If I were stranded for a week, then a 10 LB. bag of uncooked rice, 5LB. of Beef Jerky, and compact water purifier or 10-15 gals of drinking water.
If I were stranded for a month ……
Come to think of it, I remember being stranded and all I had with me was my lunch.
