I’ve been a lurker of this board for a while, and a member of other weight loss boards for many years. There’s one thing that consistently makes me want to bang my head against the computer – people aren’t patient!
Please everyone. Be patient with your body. Losing a pound a week is a great, attainable, and sane goal. Stop freaking out if your weight fluctuated a bit – scales aren’t a great measure. You didn’t put the weight on within a week, you won’t lose it in a week. Find a SANE diet that works for you in the LONG RUN. Nothing gimmicky, nothing that you have to buy, nothing that paints certain foods as “bad”. Move more! Eat less! Energy balance! And be patient.
