I do 35 min AM cardio 6 days a week and 45 to 60 mins of lifting or cardio PM, 5 days a week. I have a diet that has around 2000-2300grams of sodium. I drink about 10 to 12 glasses of water a day and urine is clearer than my toilet water (lol!!). Since I sweat a lot, should I be worried about this high level of sodium intake? |

TD, The responses here will differ from person to person. The fact is that 30 minutes to 1 hour of cardio per day should not justify consuming that much sodium (even if you sweat allot!) . The fact that your urine is clear does not indicate that your sodium intake is normal. Getting blood work done is the only REAL way to determine if your sodium intake is excessive or not in your body. I am an ultra runner and twice or or more per week I do 25+ mile runs as long training runs where I will consume a little over 2000 grams of sodium. This is in the mountains where elevation gains of over 5000 feet are the norm and doing a 20 mile run can average 5 or more hours! . Needless to say, I Really SWEAT and even then my sodium intake is a little less than your average of 2000-2300 grams. |

Resting HR is anywhere from 68 to 76. Just went to doctors to get blood work and all came out normal. I got my sodium down to 1700mg and still trying to find ways to lower it. |

It is cool and I am also doing cardio twice a week and it is good to be smart and fats free.I think for precautions to avoid high sodium we must avoid the restaurant food like me,I have really overcome this problem. It is valuable post here.
