Okay, i want to lose fat around my ab area. I am 5’ 1”, 126 pounds and i workout about 3 – 4 days a week. I Want to lose about 1.5 to 1.75 lbs a week so that it is healthy while being able to lose fat quick(ish). So i was wondering what the best workout for losing fat, especially around the middle, is. I am trying to lose fat becuase i feel like i need to do it for myself, i usually do things for other people. this one is for me. |

First of all, good for you dedicating yourself to self-improvement! That’s such an important first step. So now on to your question. The only way to lose fat around the middle is to lose it all over your body. You can’t spot-reduce fat. If you lower your body fat %, the belly will decline and your waist will shrink. The best way to lose fat is through high intensity interval training, a good diet of whole foods like fruit, vegetables, lean protein, legumes, and nuts, and a good weight training program. I’ve been doing a program called “Turbulence Training” which is circuit training and uses lots of total body exercises like squats, lunges, chin-ups, push-ups, etc. I was about your size when I started, and I’m 119 now. Don’t waist time with crunches. If you use free weights to do other weight exercises, you’ll need to contract your abs to stabilize the movement, and that will work them better than crunches ever would. You can do other exercises too like plank, mountain climbers, bird dog, or use an ab roller if you want to spend some time targeting your ab muscles. |

You can get a free sample workout by signing up on the email list. You can also do a trial membership for $5 or something like that, and only pay the other $34 or whatever it is if you don’t cancel after the trial period ends. |
