I’m trying to figure out the best way to track crossfit workouts using Gyminee and I’m looking for suggestions, stuff that works for you. It seems pretty straight forward to track 5 by 5 back squats at 215#, but when it comes to things like FRAN or Fight Gone Bad, what do you do?

Fight Gone Bad
20# wallball shot
75# Summo Deadlift High pull
18” Box jump
75# Push Press
Row for Calories

1 minute of work for each exercise, with 1 minute between rounds. Do 3 rounds.

Got any ideas?

For fran it should be a time scoring, fight gone bad is done for score each rep is a point and each calorie burnt on the rower is a point. Fight Gone bad is definately the most fun I have had in the gym. Me and some friends in Iraq would do it all spaced apart so we never ran into each other and would prevent others from taking our equipment. I did my own version of FGb and did the SDHP and Push press with 135 lbs, needless to say I smoked everyone when we did it RX’d.

It’s kind of funny to think of FGB as fun, but I agree it was the best thing I’ve ever done in a gym. First time for me and I look forward to the next time.

We have a dedicated gym so no worries of anyone jumpin on our equipment, but did similar to what your saying…. 4 guys running at the same time. Ladies on a different row (different weight) running 2-3 up.

I Lost 5 Lbs! I Lost 10 Lbs!

Hey absmith, I used the WOD link you sent but it does not feed into my dailyburn account. Any plans to make that happen? BTW, its looks awesome, but I usually use the main site comments to enter wods. Would love to have an all in one tool like this to use.

I Lost 10 Lbs! I Lost 5 Lbs!

It is recording on dailyburn, but it isn’t really “linking” the data together right now… we will do this in the future if the WOD section takes off…

I signed up for dailyburn because I saw a link to tracking crossfit wod’s on facebook (nice targeted ads… dang.) but the true usefulness of the tool depends on people actually going on and using it. My $0.02: please link the data up and advertise the dailyburn.com/wod page. this could really change the way we crossfit.

I Lost 10 Lbs!

While I always look at the WOD on Crossfit.com, I’m a member of an affiliate and we use different workouts each day than what is posted on the Crossfit site. I think we need a very simple way to at least log (even via text box) our workouts on our profile. If I could have that, I’d be psyched. I don’t need it to be linked ot info on each of the exercises, etc.

Any chance that this can happen? I just want a place to remind myself of all my workouts, track my weight, etc. Once I switched from regular running and gym to Crossfit workouts, Daily Burn has become useless to me as a 1-stop place for all of that to occur.

Another vote for linking – “waiting for demand” is putting the cart before the horse! If it were useful, we would use it! Woot!

Just downloaded the barcode scanner app,for us crossfitters the last piece of the puzzle is wod’s logging. it would be very helpful to get that linked up.

Can I give another vote for integration of the dailyburn.com/WOD data, and the logging of it into the main “workouts” part of the site. I also belong to an affiliate, and we don’t necessarily fallow the “main site” day to day. The current format for entering crossfit style data into the current dailyburn site- well it just doesn’t fit in any suitable or usable way.

Our current go to choice (as crossfit gyms and/or crossfitters) for logging our data online is beyondthewhiteboard.com and like many I believe it is certainly lacking. Our searching for useful alternatives is thwarted many times by the inability to usefully create and enter Crossfit style WODs, like mentioned above, into the number of other activity logging sites. I hope you don’t wait for the dailyburn WOD section to significantly take off before implementing it into the dailyburn main site. To do so would be to miss the countless affiliate members and go-it-alone people who are very active, and yet, still haven’t found a suitable data logging platform.

Lastly, (looking way into the future), it would be nice to bring in tools for Gyms and Trainers alike. Certainly, they are a large part of the motivators. Their ability to create and use the workout logging would be of a great many uses. Those uses could perhaps account for a lot of profitability for dailyburn.

I Ran 100 Miles!

I know this is a little old, but even before linking WODs to our accounts, can you add official crossfit lifts? I’d like to be able to track Thrusters and the like, but I can’t find them.

I have to agree! The Wod section is not going to take off, until you link it together with the other info. I will probably just go find another site that is already doing it.

Great progress photos @jamesbellamy42.

The DailyBurn team is continually modifying the site and one of the founders, @absmith, is a Cross Fit user. Hopefully you’ll stick with the site and be able to provide input on how you’d like to see that section developed.

Bumping this thread with another vote for WOD tracking, including the ability to create, save and reuse custom WODs. With this, DailyBurn would be that much closer to fitness tracking nirvana! PLEASE? :)

Old topic but I would like to say that it’s interesting nothing seems to have been done on DailyBurn to even minimally address the Crossfit crowd. Crossfit is one of the fastest growing areas right now in the fitness world. This is evident by Reebok sponsoring the Crossfit games. I have been a fan of DailyBurn since it was Gyminee and mainly for nutrition tracking. I have been tracking my Crossfit workouts on Beyond The Whiteboard but would really like to use one tool for tracking everything. I think DailyBurn is missing an opportunity to address the Crossfit crowd. The wait and see if there is interest approach is not a good tactic. You guys could learn from Beyond The Whiteboard, inputting workouts is simple and it’s easy to use. DailyBurn is not when it comes to workouts.

Seriously, I’m sitting here on a Sunday afternoon looking for the perfect web site/app that would integrate WOD planning/tracking with general exercise options and meal tracking….only reason I can’t stop here is because of the lack of integration with the WOD info.
