It’s never too late! At what age did you get serious about working out? |

22! I had done weight training classes in high school, and thought it was fun, but never got serious about pairing my nutrition with the workouts until I was 22 and very unhappy with my appearance. |

I’ve always been active. Dance from the age of 6-30. Biking, hiking, etc. It was a way of life. I’ve never been more than 20# over weight. I began to be mindful and take my exercise and nutrition seriously when I turned 40. While still active and fit, at the age of 55 I remain mindful because not only do I need to fight unwanted scale creep, but I see how exercise and nutrition affect my health and how that is going to affect the aging process. My financial plan has me living to 110. Good health is what will make the coming years enjoyable. Exercise and good nutrition are the basis of good health! |

I was about 23. I was tired of breaking zippers and feeling depressed. I just said enough. I’ve never looked back. |

I was very active up to about age 30, then I quit karate and started a food business and slowly put on a lot of weight. At age 48, I got serious about my health after a series of health problems. I get up everyday just wanting to workout. If I don’t get to workout, I get very restless. |

I had run Cross Country and Track in high school and have slowly put on weight over the years. I’m 25 now and very unhappy with my appearance and how I feel. Although I don’t plan on ever being a competitive runner again, I look forward to being able to find a nice pace for about 3 mi. My goal is 120lbs. |

I got serious this year at age 34. Been big all my life and got tired of people calling me “Big Joe”. Since February I have lost 25 lbs and I feel great. My goal is to lose 100 lbs. total. |

I got serious this year when I turned 50. I see so many people in their 50’s and 60’s who can barely walk. It pains me to see them trying to get through a store. I am not going to suffer like that. Now, I have been “serious” before but this feels different. I am more realistic and have certain goals that are reachable. |

I like jbevans post: seeing people my age who can barely move around reminds me how much I do NOT want to be like that. I’m 58 and I just played a tough hockey game last night and ran around moving bags of mulch today. I love to snow ski when I get the chance. Still, I’m not where I want to be in terms of getting back in shape, but at least I’m not having a hard time just getting around. It’s quite motivating to see how much you can do and hear people say things like “Wow! You do pretty good for an old guy!” LOL |

I had been working out on and off for a few years but I got serious about working out last year at 26yrs. I am proud to say that I have stayed serious for once and it has been a year now. |

I hated running growing up but have fell in love with it since I turned 25. The difference for me was treadmill running. I could never run outside very well. But since having a Sole F80 I have enjoyed running long distance. www.soletreadmills.com |
