P90X, or Power 90 Extreme, is a home exercise system developed by Tony Horton in conjunction with Beachbody CEO Carl Daikeler, Beachbody Fitness Advisor Steve Edwards, nutritionist Carrie Wyatt, Creative Director Ned Farr, and workout video director Mason Bendewald of MEGA MACE productions. It claims to significantly improve physical fitness in 90 days through a rigorous segmented training program combined with a nutrition and dietary supplement plan.

P90X’s advertising emphasizes “muscle confusion”, a method of cross-training and periodization achieved through switching the order of exercises and incorporating new and varied movements. Muscle confusion supposedly prevents the body from adapting to exercises over time, resulting in continual improvement without plateaus.

I am interested to start the P90X program, diet and supplements. For the purpose of reducing body fat, increasing muscle mass, sweating a lot .. are all good things for detox and regulating blood sugar. If any one have knowledge or experience with this let me know please…

P90x is AMAZING….

This program is challenging if you push through EVERY workout. When I say every you must be dedicated to do it in the first place meaning at least 1 hour a day 6 days a week (1.5 hour on yoga day) you only get one rest day. My suggestion is to do the P90x Lean routine first to get a taste of everything and ease into it. The most challenging part I found about it was dedicating that amount of time without hesitation and not skipping yoga. But keep in mind that each workout will burn around 500-800 calories (confirmed with my HR Monitor) on average so you will be starving and must eat your correct amount of calories so you don’t lose hard earned muscle.

Finding the balance in the P90X is the most challenging but if you have the time,and a sound diet you WILL see results without a doubt.
