Back in the winter I stopped dealing with Daily Burn because I’m a lazy slob, and because I was really frustrated with this mobile app situation. We were repeatedly promised an Android Daily Burn app, and then denied, denied, denied it. After a while it got really frustrating, and I just stopped caring. Now I am getting off the schneide again and wanted to check in and see the app — and I find out that it is just a calorie counting app? Wow. More than two years in the making and it doesn’t track anything but food intake. That’s really pretty pathetic, as is the mobile app. I used to be a pro user because I wanted to support Daily Burn and its people and users. I’m not a pro user now. |

I don’t hate it. It’s useful for UPC scanning. But for pretty much everything else I just use the full website on my android anyway. It’s really not inconvenient at all, though the workout tab needs a little zooming in and out. |

App installed on both my Acer Iconia A500 tablet and HTC Incredible phone 3 days ago. Uninstalled from both today. What a waste of memory. Daily Burn, you lost the initiative when you got bought out. You now seem ripe to be replaced by a more effective organization. What a shame. You had a good thing going in the beginning. |

So it sounds like BodyBuilding.com (not just for bodybuilders!) Will have a full, free, fitness app first. They’ve already got an app and they actually update it fairly often. Just waiting for them to import their workout tracker to the app. |

Kate, please pass along thanks to the rest of the team. I know things on this thread were a bit tense there for a bit and I just wanted to say thank you! It’s really nice to have a phone app that works with my android. |

Wow, a DailyBurn app for Android, and you can’t keep track of your daily burn at the gym? Lame. For people like me, that don’t eat out, there is no need for a way to track my food intake from a phone… I need access to update my workout at the gym, as I’m doing it… guess I still get to take a notebook and paper with me and hope I get around to entering it online. |

I hate having to use the mobile web for tracking workouts :( Please add this function to the app! Also, I love all the food tracking capabilities on the app, BUT I can’t stand that it doesn’t remind me of my goal range for carb, protien, and fat. I always use the mobile web to check it out. I need to have the little arrow, x, or check mark! |

So I took a break from Daily Burn…back before the Android App was out. At that time I was getting close to switching to Android from my iPhone 3GS. I have since done that switch (purchased a Nexus S, sold my 3GS)…and now I come back only to find out that the app is nothing but a calorie counting app? I was let down big time. Support what your iPhone app supports or don’t bother trying please. A calorie counting app was a big part of what got me started losing weight….now it’s not so much an issue…I know how to measure everything out and to record what I eat…it helps but is not absolutely necessary. A good workout tracking app is what I SERIOUSLY need….the ones on Android I’ve found so far just don’t cut it. Do it right or don’t do it at all Daily Burn. |

Throwing in my two cents for adding workout tracking to the Android app. Just made the move from iphone and it was pretty disappointing the first time I cracked open my shiny new app at the gym, then tried to pinch and zoom on the web browser with sweaty fingers. |

What’s going on with this app? The past while it hasn’t been letting me login and saying I have an invalid username and password when I KNOW I’m entering it correctly (I login to this site with the same ones). Judging by people leaving bad reviews in the app store recently, I’m not the only one… |

@humbersidechris There was actually a login problem with the previous version, but we’ve released an update in the Android Market this morning (version 1.31) that corrects this. |

Frankly…I feel like a second class citizen here. Why….after all these months has the Android app not been brought up to par with the iPhone app? I used to be a Pro subscriber, but stopped after I slacked off. Not giving me an easy way to enter my workouts is giving me yet another reason to keep slacking off. I really don’t need more reasons to do that. I’m not saying the lack of a decent Android app is the primary reason I’m slacking off, but it CERTAINLY ISN’T HELPING me get motivated. You want me to subscribe again? Then make the Android app do everything the iPhone app does. Until you do that I will not give you another cent of my money. You don’t even have to make it a free app…if it makes it easier to justify the cost of developing a proper Android app…charge $5 or something for the app. I don’t care…JUST DO IT. Considering Android is a major competitor to the iPhone (by some accounts Android has overtaken iPhone) your concentration on the iPhone is doing a disservice to your community…leaving Android users out in the cold while embracing your iPhone users. |

Please put some priority on the android app. I know you probably have more iPhone users, but the android app is just pathetic… You run a website that makes money, I can’t imagine you don’t have the resources to put together a decent app… the iPhone app proves you can do it, that one is great. |

Seriously come on guys… How many pro users do you have? The iPhone app is great. But I have an Android now. Why don’t I deserve the same functionality as those with Apple phones? Its been long enough that there is simply no excuse. Add workout tracking to the android app PLEASE. |
