If you’re a regular ready of the blog Engadget, you’ll know about a new set of bathroom scales that have been released that has built in WiFi. http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/01/wifi-enabled… The Withings WiFi bathroom scales automatically records a users body weight, lean/fat mass and calculates your BMI to the Withings website. Although this is a great product on it’s own merits, it would be even better if it had support for DailyBurn, so that when you weigh yourself, the data is automatically uploaded to DailyBurn. Maybe DailyBurn could work with Withings to add support for DailyBurn, either directly from the scales or (probably easier) via a API from the Withings website? |

Great idea. I’d buy one. |

Not at $159, I wouldn’t… O.O |

I wouldn’t get one just because they decided to include the…IMHO…worthless BMI measurement. |

+1 I’d buy the scale if it integrated with one of the several portals that already store fragments of my health info. I’m looking for ways to consolidate portals (Garmin, FitDay, Spark, DailyBurn, FitBit) not add another one! (Although I do agree that support for BMI is lame. And frankly I don’t believe electrostatic body composition measurement is accurate enough to be useful either). |
