If a being from an outer planet in our universe could speak to you, and they asked you what is this health?, what would you tell them?

I Lost 5% I Burned 50K Calories! I Lost 10 Lbs! I Lost 5 Lbs! I Burned 25K Calories! I Ran 100 Miles! I Burned 5,000 Calories!

I’d probably answer, “wellness spirit, soul and body.”

Of course if I thought that “being from an outer planet” was asking because he was contemplating using humans for food, I’d probably just break into singing “Oops I Did It Again” hoping that a non-sequitur would confuse him and send him back from whence he came.

For me, I would say that health has to do with being free from illness (physical or mental).

I completely agree with gbgeek that “Health” implies being free from sickness and other illnesses. Another important aspect of health, is buying insurance. Health insurance is necessary for every individual irrespective of age to assure financial security during times of medical emergency.

Medical emergency can strike anyone, anytime and for individuals covered under a health insurance can avail easy treatment at reputed hospitals under the care of good doctors which will ultimately help them in fast recovery.

I will tell then health represents living healthier and disease free life which is only possible if you follow some strict routine of healthy food and exercise regularly, which will be not so easy you should read and know more about health which will help you to adopt healthy lifestyle.

I agree with JuryDuty that health should encompass spirit and mind as well…not just the absence of disease. People should be happy as well as pain and disease free. Although I have bought insurance, if I had to choose I would rather spend my money on good quality food and enjoyable experiences…these are more likely to extend my life.

I totally agree with Jury reply. Health is nothing but our spirit, body and soul.

Health is defined as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
