Blue Opal…5 lbs in 5 days? I don’t get it…is that even healthy? |

Could be. If she has alot to lose, 5 lbs comes off quick. if she weighed in on a day after she had eated quite a bit or was retaining water bad… lots of variables. There’s been a couple weeks where I lose that much. Define “healthy”. |

I just weighed in and am showing a 7 lb loss since last Monday. Perfect example of how someone can lose that much. The reason? Because when I weighed in on last Monday, my official weigh in day, I was up quite a bit because I ate bad on Sunday. Up so bad I showed a .2 lb gain FOR THE WEEK. I decided to step it up a notch and instead of doing 30 minutes of cardio a day, I did an hour and I made sure it stayed in the heavy intensity area. The result? 7 pound loss for the week that was probably really about 5 pound loss, with the 2 pounds of junk having been flushed out a day after I weighed in. |

On a seperate note, if this is an “everyone wins” challenge, why did the challenege close after the first person accomplished the goal? |
| Oct 27, 2008 4:59pm |
I dont think it did close? I mean, I only joined yesterday and its tracked the weight I lost today…. |

And also, in response to Coal, I second everything SawWolf said – If you are extremely overweight then it would be nothign tolose 5lbs in a week anyway |

I’m assuming you’re thinking it’s closed because of the “Congratulations” message at the top. In an “Everybody Wins” challenge the message still appears, but congratulates the most recent user to complete the challenge. |

Actually it looks like it congratulates the first person to complete it only, cuz we had a new winner yesterday, and it’s still congratulating blue opal |

I am obese; therefore, 5lbs comes of like nothing if you eat right and do a little of exercise. My top challenge in 75lbs, but 5lbs, is just a mark for me. So far I am down 13lbs (before I started the challenge). I weigh myself same time every 5 -7 days at 10:30am, to minimize my weight reading error. |

great job, everyone!! (I weigh myself everytime I’m in the bathroom, but only record my first weight of the day, which is always the lowest) |

Woohoo! I had to go below my goal weight to do it, but I finally won a challenge!!! |

Hey everybody! I’m new to this challenge. :) I’ve been trying to lose those pesky 5 pounds for quite some time now (say, 3 months?) and can’t seem to do it. I’m hoping this challenge encourages me! . |

Woohoo! Made the 5lb goal – more to go – but good start. :-) |

I just joined this challenge as well. I just have 5lbs more to lose to reach my goal weight of 115lbs. It took me a year to lose 56lbs. My body seems to be holding on for dear life to those last 5lbs but I intend to drag it kicking and screaming down to my goal weight. |

Lets see what I can do!!! I’m hyped for this little challenge. I have been pretty dang shocked by my new pooch and need some real goals to live by!! |

I’m hoping this will be a little kick start for me… I’ve been strenght training and watching what I eat for 12 weeks now and have only lost 3 pounds (although the measurements are coming down very well) so some extra motivation seems necessary. Good luck to everyone! |

ARRGGGHHHH! I have worked out 23 out of 26 days this month and I haven’t lost any weight! I know I’m building muscle and that is good, but when will the weight start to fall off? I’m starting to feel like it is never going to happen. =/ Is anyone else struggling with this? |
| Jan 29, 2009 8:31am |
I’m confused. How does it figure I burned over 7000 (yes thousand) calories yesterday???!!! I did yoga and shoveled snow…should only be around 450 or so total calories burned. On another side note, I am not losing like I thought I would. I went from doing absolutely nothing physically a month ago to working out 3 times a week, sometimes more…I am doing more weight training, but still. I only have lost 7 pounds. I have over 60 to lose. This is going to take forever. |

i join a couple of weeks ago but just don’t have time to exercise. but on a positive note i will try tomorrow. at least for 30minutes. |
