does anybody know if we should enter pull ups or push ups in this challenge? |
| Jun 30, 2009 3:40pm |
I would, they are body weight exersizes |

I am going to use 50 lbs per push up and pull up…Does that seem fair? |

i think as long as you are consistent that should be fine. this challange is more about motivating yourself and others to keep fit! good luck everyone _ |

hi all! I’m fairly new to this site and still in the “trying it out” phase… (even though it looks like I’ll be going Pro soon.) Thanks! |

hi! weve had this question alot. some people enter each arm as a seperate set so 20reps x 30lb (left), 20reps x 30lb (right). tho u shouldnt have dif weights or reps for each arm. What I do is just enter twice the weight so as you said, it would be as if you are lifting 60 on a bar. So i would enter 20reps x 60lbs. I find this is easier, saves u entering in 6 sets when you really only did 3 for example. |

man i only ever put in for one side…i have been missing out :) |

yeah, i’ve been missing out as well! |

Thanks for the comments back! I’ve been missing out too I guess. But it still makes sense to change it. 30lbs in each hand IS 60lbs total. I mean, if you used the bar and curled 60lbs, you wouldn’t enter 30lbs, so why do it with dumbbells? |

@hepbone: So for curls where you do one at a time I would say 40 reps x 30#. if I do something like dumbbell bench press with 30# weights for 10 reps I would enter 10 reps x 60# |
