Thanks for starting this again! Hey anyone up for a hike on Sat? Or any Sat? I’ve been going to Estrella Regional Park but would like to try some other good hikes around the valley. |

Looks like we still have to record everything as running, I tried to put hiking in but it didn’t show up here. I did not run for 4 hours straight. :) |

It is a bummer that we have to enter it all as running because it messes up the statistics in regard to calories, etc. but unfortunately that is a current limitation. Sounds like you had a great hike! |

I will not let @dgaudet beat me… I will not let @dgaudet beat me… I will not let @dgaudet beat me… (oh, whoops, did I say that out loud?) LOL. |

I hike almost weekly and I am always looking for people to join me so please let me know if you want to hike friday, saturday, or sunday mornings! |

Better watch out @psyan – I’m catching up. No prisoners, this time. :) |
| Mar 9, 2009 1:38pm |
ok @befitt…you have thrown down the gauntlet…I am coming to get you! |
| Mar 9, 2009 1:44pm |
@befitt and @dgaudet…I am taking down both you’ll!!! Bring it! |
| Mar 9, 2009 2:16pm |
I better get off this computer at some time today and get moving… I don’t want to fall too far behind. |

BeFitt didn’t throw down the gauntlet, she threw down the gaudet! I’ve tweaked my knees somehow, so my running has been curtailed and I’ve decided to not do the 150 mi. bike in a couple of weeks. Dang!

‘Gauntlet/Gaudet’ – Good one, @davidweaver! LOL. I’m not sure about doing that SOMA Tri… did it several years ago and almost died. :P |
| Mar 14, 2009 10:58pm |
Oh…@davidweaver…I am sorry to hear about your knees! I am up here in the cold northern Idaho area and am planning to put in some serious miles. Did 7 today and will hit that plus tomorrow. Gotta love spring break! Take that MSM or Glucosamiene (I can’t spell that word) and get back on it friend! |

@davidweaver…I am definitely in for the half ironman in October…come on @befitt! I have no doubt you can do it. |
| Mar 16, 2009 4:52pm |
Okay, so I leave for one weekend and suddenly I’m in 6th place? That’s not going to work for me. I guess that means I’ll have to step up my game this week. |
| Mar 16, 2009 4:54pm |
@BeFitt Looks like I have a chance to get ahead! :-) |
| Mar 19, 2009 2:38pm |
We are all going to get passed up when @lcbyoung puts in all her miles from her trip! |
| Mar 22, 2009 7:30pm |
I see @davidweaver snuck ahead yet again and @befitt has done some work! Planning for a few miles tomorrow in the morning. I do hate to enter my current weight after a long week of eating and drinking over spring break. Yuck! |

I guesstimated 27 miles for my trip. I probably underestimated my miles. Tons of hiking and walking in Galapagos. Gotta get moving now that I am back and work my way up in the standings. |
| Mar 25, 2009 7:58pm |
darn you @lcbyoung!!! How can I EVER keep up with someone on sabbatical. :-0) I am heading out the door today for my SECOND run of the day. The things I have to do to stay competitive. Geesh! (hahahahahaa) |
| Mar 25, 2009 8:24pm |
@dgaudet, sorry. To celebrate our anniversary, Mike and I decided to walk to Baskin Robbins for an ice cream – lots of miles there… Then I walked Rev, but you will catch up to me with your run today.. I better get out there early tomorrow. LOL |

Okay – here’s my dilemma: I just did the stationery bike for 8.6 miles but i don’t want to include it in this challenge (as a run) because I’m part of other running challenges on Gyminee (which if I add as a run – it will count towards). So…. I’m going to hold off on posting those miles – but as soon as I get home from this conference in Atlanta, you better believe my butt will be out every day for at least 1-2 miles… (well, that’s the plan anyway). |
| Mar 28, 2009 5:44pm |
@befitt…yeah, I hear ya. All my biking and swimming miles don’t count for squat in this competition. Gotta get out and put in some miles today though else @lcbyoung is going to catch me. Doh! |

I typically walk our dog 4 times per day, so that is the secret to me getting a minimum of 1-2 miles/day. If you saw Julie M’s (from PC) video for their fitness center, she credited dog-walking (and skipping cheeseburgers and fries) for her dramatic losses. I haven’t started training for Soma yet… I’m doing the running more for mental health than anything at this point. The miles and the sweat help me put the whole job-uncertainty (Williams/ASU-Poly, etc.) in perspective. |

@davidweaver…good for you! I find that I maintain an exercise routine much better if I work it into things I am already doing. @lcbyoung has inspired me to incorporate walking into regular activities, and your example does as well. This morning, I walked down to the store and back to get coffee and groceries. Not only do I earn my Latte, but I am more conscious of the things I buy so as not to carry too much weight. So, I am burning calories AND saving money. What a deal! |
