DailyBurn is live! We’re excited about the new name and design. Tell us your thoughts? |

I do like the search feature in the Favorite Foods list. Jury’s still out on it taking you directly to the description instead of to that page, though. And it’s nice to be reminded of how far you’ve progressed when you first log on (medals) but I do see that they’re found on the public profile. |

I like being able to track two different things on one graph, like weight and calories. This lets me better see a corrolation when I slip. However, it would be nice the graph didn’t reset itself every time – if I set it to show two things, it should still show those two things next time I come back. |

I think there is a problem in the exercise chart. I selected cal burned and time performed, but it gives me thousands of minutes? Normally a standard walk would be 1 hr, but it gives me 3600 minutes. Now, I know that’s wrong because a) I don’t have that kind of stamina, and b) there are only 60 minutes in one hours. Has anyone else noticed? |

Great new interface guys and very clean css layouts. Only thing i would pick at is your top nav hover isn’t highlighting the entire tab and it’s look funny with the top staying blue and the rest of the tab turning white. Given your selected tabs are full white, i would assume the hover should be full white as well. But brilliant job on the new site very impressive. |

To add to the nav suggestion above, you should really consider using css sprites. The main benefits are: All in all though, I like the new layout. It’s nice and clean, which to be perfectly honest, is why I decided to use this site and not the very popular one my wife uses. |

Thanks for the feedback everyone. It’s nice to hear positive feedback after a lot of late nights… :-) Also, we’ll take a look at any bugs reported here, but I would suggest also pointing them out in the Support/Help forum. |

Is there any way for us to see a basic list of things that have been changed? I’d like to be able to take advantage of the robust features you guys have added! :) |

As a fellow web developer, gotta say I love the new logo and new interface. The old one was good as well but the change is nice. |

@ely: The time charting was actually returning the value in seconds, but reporting the units as minutes. Nice catch. I just fixed this so it will convert it and properly report it as hours spent. This should make it up onto the site before the end of the day. Thanks for reporting it. |

Okay, something that I miss already from Gyminee is the ability to get a “grade” for how many goals I’ve met in the week! It was a HUGE motivator for me (I like to get As), and now I’m just filling up a meter. I want my grades back! |
| May 26, 2009 1:07pm |
I agree with NOTIN!! |
| May 26, 2009 1:26pm |
Sorry, but I miss the grades too. When I see how many days I’ve worked out, it’s not that motivating to me, but when I notice I’ve slipped down to a “C”, I think oops! I’d better get busy. |

I agree with Notin! Call me childish but I LIKE getting good grades with stars! A meter bar with apples does nothing for me…. :( |

Hi guys, Just a question: for browsing progress pics I now need to go via another route, taking a few more steps to get there. Can one place the browse button back on the motivation section? Another observation: if I want to post a message in a motivator’s locker room, when I send the message it ends up in my locker room and not in the one I have sent it to. Hmmm… Hope this makes sense. All the best and thanks again for the great look! |

I LOVE the new look for the time remaining for the challenges. Much tidier and very easy to read. |

Widgets are broken for now. |

HardgainerTim: We will consider adding that link back. Also, we think we have the fix for the locker room issues… those changes should be live on the site sometime today. hangy: We are aware of this and will look into fixing it. |

It looks cooler, I like the tabs and how everything seems to pop. One thing, when goign through my favourite foods, I can no longer just search by letter, if I want to add in that I ate a zucchini I have to browse through all 10 pages of my favourite foods? Can you put the letter back up at the top or something so I just hit the “Z” and it’ll take me to the “z” foods? |

I think I liked the name better as Gyminee, but ultimately it’s not that big of a deal in choice of sites. I also preferred the term gymbuddies to motivators, because while my gymbuddies may motivate me, that’s not really how I think of them. They’re more like online friends. It makes people seem very one-dimensional with that term. |

I have to admit I liked the kitschy “Gyminee” name better than “Daily Burn.” Had more of that internet flare to it that sticks in your mind, like Yahoo or Google. So far I like the redesign. I did notice that when I was tracking two data elements in the body tracker, the switch between time periods didn’t seem to work effectively for both elements. Like my body weight would switch from 1 month to 3 months, but not my body fat…. |

Looks great! Love that I don’t have to spell out Gyminee when I tell people about it. |
| May 26, 2009 2:54pm |
@Bogleg: I just played with this and everything seems to be working fine for me. It may be due to the fact that the two separate chart elements are scaled independently, check the y axis on both sides of the chart. Maybe the chart didn’t change, but the scale for that metric did. If you still think something is amiss, create a a topic for this in the help/support forum and we’ll figure out how to fix it. |
| May 26, 2009 2:56pm |
@Doodles: There is now a live search function on your food favorites. You can start typing zucchini and it should find it for you. We’re in the process of also improving this feature so you can easily add foods from the favorites quick search results. |

I also liked ‘Gyminee’ better, I feel it was more memorable. I know you changed it because people were mis-spelling it etc and that’s a good reason, but surely most of your referrals come from existing members sending links to their friends? Also agreeing with flutinkat that I liked ‘GymBuddies’ much more than ‘Motivators’. ‘Motivators’ is so clinical, and also sounds a lot like Traineo. And on suggestion: remove the blinking from the countdown timers on the challenge pages. I thought it was an ad, and wondered how come I was seeing ads with my pro account. It looks like all those stupid ads – “CLICK HERE YOU HAVE 14 MINUTES TO CLAIM THIS FABULOUS PRIZE” |
