I know this is a social networking site so it might be a slight conflict of interest to do a facebook app, but I think it would really help this site grow alot. |

I agree. Yes, please create a Facebook app. |

We’re definitely thinking about it. I can’t promise anything just yet, but you should feel free to post ideas about how you think it should work and what features it should have. |

Any Facebook App / OSX Dashboard Widget / Google Gadget should allow the user to display their workout and/or weightloss goals and stats. This would work in a similar manner as the HTML widgets you already provide. You could also include a feature to invite people as “spotters” who would get updates on when a person does/misses a workout and when they meet a goal. |

facebook widget doesnt work like other applications. They display automtically, this one has to bee searched for…should be right on profile page for others to view without effort right? |

A number of competing fitness sites already have facebook integration, including Zelky, Logyourrun, etc. |

Recently, we added some Facebook integration for the challenges (blog post here). It’s looking like the future of facebook applications is not necessarily having applications that you install inside your facebook account, but integrating your actions and social graph between facebook and other websites. We’re interested in exploring this concept more depending on how it is received by users. Feel free to provide feedback. |

Hey! I am a new Gyminee user and I would just like to say that I am very excited by this website, and in particular how (after reading the feature requests forums) you guys seem to be really involving your users with the development of the site in a way that a lot of sites don’t. The idea of Facebook integration really appeals to me, here are some thoughts - Given that we already have a “latest activity” feed on our profiles, I would love it if we had the option to post some of that information on our Facebook news feed. The fact that challengs can be posted to your news feed is a great start, but I would love to be able to post “Ben burned 800 calories today!” from Gyminee onti my FB news feed, or also “Ben added a new entry to his Gyminee journal”, oh and I’d love it if I got to post on my feed when “Ben reached his weight loss target of X kg today”, though I am wondering if by this point people would be getting quite sick of me ;-) but I think you get the general idea. <edit> In fact, having just had a quick look at the profile settings page, what I am basically getting at is anything which is already published to twitter feeds </edit> - I’d love to see more Facebook Connect integration in general. Particularly things like my freinds being able to see which of their freinds are already signed up on Gyminee. This sort of thing combined with more FB news feed activity will encourage people I know as a user to sign up in a way that invite emails just won’t. I also believe that, as the OP said, this will help the site grow an awful lot. FB apps used correctly with a good website are a PR magic bullet these days. |

Stephen, I agree with you. Personally, I am using FB more as a “life portal” and don’t really need a FB app. For me, it would suffice if my entries on Gyminee showed up as feeds into my FB account. |

I think where the app would become useful (and dangerous, and annoying) would be in the “invite your friends” functionality that most of the apps have… I certainly don’t see myself “recruiting” gym buddies via Gyminee directly, but I wouldn’t mind even distant FB friends becoming buddies on Gyminee. But I agree that FB feed updating is the best thing overall, probably the easiest to implement, and the least intrusive. |

I tried putting a weight widget on Facebook and it does not work. It installs the application but then there is no widget retrieved. I have tried this from two different computers, at least 5 times. Any ideas? |

Really what I would like is the same feature you have for Twitter on Facebook. I would prefer a customizable app to display details, but this is not required since Gyminee provides public profiles. I like Zelky’s posts ex: “Matthew has added a Walking workout in Zelky Workout Tracker.” however Zelky is no where near as nice as Gyminee, and Zelky does not provide a link to my public profile. |

I would love this… it seems like a huge win for everyone to make it happen! |

I don’t know if I want a facebook app but I would like the ability to post my workouts to my facebook profile. Similar to what DailyMile.com does. |

Add me to the list…YES!! Facebook integration like we have for Twitter. |

This would take things to the next level for DailyBurn I think. A simple Facebook app going. I think it should be able to post workouts, achievements, and display a badge on your profile with your goals and stats. |

A Facebook app similar to the one used my MapMyFitness.com & a simple report to post workouts, achievements, etc. would be great as well. |

I think facebook integration would be nice. Most of the fitness apps allow a broadcast to facebook to show what was performed. You can broadcast what was done from your site. Have the widget tie into the exercise stats and pump that. Then have it where a user can choose to post that or not. This will please the people that want the integration and allow the ones that don’t want it to turn that feature off. I think this is the only function that is missing from dailyburn that will take it over the top. |

Dailyburn should step up their game and get their integrations updated. The options should include: - Auto update of submitted workouts. This should also be available for Twitter. Come on Dailyburn – step into the 21st century ;) PS. It should not be a separate app! Integration is the keyword here. |
