I’d love to see rewards for active users who contribute to making Gyminee a better place.

For instance, since I’ve joined, I’ve uploaded a BUNCH of food pictures, updated any food I’ve eaten if anything was incorrect, etc.

For users who take significant and/or regular time out to do that sort of thing, I think it would be nice to offer a reward whether it be a few extra features, a small graphic by their name (like the Pro graphic), or even complementary Pro service.

I really like this idea. What types of awards would you like to see?

Here are my ideas—I’m sure others have great ideas, too:

1. A few extra features, such as opening up some of the Pro services to them—such as being able to add your own features to track (like sleep time).
2. A small graphic by their name (like the Pro graphic, but different).
3. Their name in a different color or highlighted gold or with a star or something.
3. Credit toward complementary Pro service.
4. Discounted Pro service.
5. Standing ovations…

I agree, great idea. I would love to hear some other users chiming in about this.

Hint: A lot of users saying the same thing means there is a pretty good chance it will become a Gyminee feature before too long.

I like JuryDuty’s ideas, but I really like the idea of credit toward complementary Pro membership, except when the complementary period would end, I’d sure miss having the Pro membership!

I especially like the idea of discounted Pro membership. If we could continue earning discounts, probably up to a point, that’d be great! Maybe the discounts would be limited per quarter, since that’s what the membership rate is for, but, if we earn beyond the limit, maybe the credits could go toward the NEXT quarter? Can’t blame me for tryin’. lol

I would also like to be able to earn cool fitness gear. It seems like some fitness brands wouldn’t mind donating stuff like water bottles, exercise balls, etc. that could be given away as prizes for providing content and reaching goals. Kind of like a grown up Chuckie Cheese!

I also would like to see this implemented but I also want to make sure Gyminee has a revenue stream that will keep you around. It would be nice to have a referral system as well so that for every three people you bring in, you’re given a pro membership. IMHO the badge of honor for earning by contributing should have its own designation. They deserve the same benefits as pro users and even a little more respect for making the community better.

I Burned 5,000 Calories!

I really like this idea too. I feel like the more time I spend plugging into this site and making connections with people here that have similar goals, the better I’m going to do with my goals. Extra motivation to be involved here is a win/win.

What do you think about some flyers with individual referral id’s linked to the member. They could give someone a two week Pro membership and if they continue with the Pro membership, the member gets points towards gear, Pro membership, etc. They could be distributed at gyms, place of work, etc.
