It would be nice to be able to add just calories (and optionally other basic nutritional data) to a day’s nutrition log. Often I know how many calories a dish is, but if it a one-time recipe I don’t want to go through the hassle of adding it to my recipes. |

There are a couple of generic “Calories” food items in the database that are for this purpose: You may want to add them to your favorites if you plan to use them often (I have the 100 Cals item in mine). |

Ooh, thanks for pointing that out. I actually searched for a generic “calorie” “food”, but was overwhelmed by all the real foods with the name calories in the title. (Dern those 100-calorie packages!) |

I still think a generic entry for calories, fat, cars and protein would be good. I feel like I keep putting junk into the database when I create a custom food or recipe that I know I will never make again or make it the same way. |

Right, like a “fast path” way to enter your nutrition for the day if you are in a rush or the items you ate were unique…or even to approximate. I think that would be valuable. |

I agree! At certain times my diet is very different, and I can’t seem to ever find my food items in the food search. It would be great to be able to add our own food items and nutrition information when necessary. |

I hate to bump the thread since it is so old, but was this ever resolved? Most of the other sites (LiveStrong, CalorieKing, etc) let you just manually enter the total number of calories for a given meal. Since my wife cooks WW recipes a lot, I often know how many calories and fat are in a meal, but not the rest of the info. |
