LOL ok, so at the very least we need a cool design kicked to cafe press so we can all be walking Gyminee advertisements when we go workout. These would also be great rewards for the community. |

I LOVE the idea of t-shirts! Maybe we could win a t-shirt that says: I get fit at Gyminee.com |

We’re working on a new logo at the present time. After that happens, I think t-shirts are a good possibility :-) |

Hm, come to think of it, I never win anything. Maybe we could buy a t-shirt at the Gyminee Store <bg> For new members, I made up the Gyminee Store, so don’t look for it. lol Oh! What about sweatshirts too? Coffee Mug? Mouse Pad! Okay, now I’m getting carried away. |

I would SO buy a shirt to wear to the gym… Medium women’s tank top please :-) |

As always, great idea @JuryDuty :) I think we should be able to win and buy t-shirts though. It would be a great motivation and for those who don’t qualify to win one, they should be able to buy them as well. Just make sure you guys have girlie shirts as well. A lot of places make the mistake of only carrying those unisex (aka men’s) shirts… :( For designs, I think it would be cool to hold a contest where people would submit designs and/or ideas, and the community would be allowed to vote. That’s how threadless does it, and look how awesome their designs are! |

Really like the idea of a Gyminee Tee. I would wear mine with pride and Introduce the rest of Leeds to gyminee. BTW its a big city in the north of England if you were wondering lol |

Nice idea! I don’t know how many designers we have here, but it would be nice to have some variety and fresh looks. I want a shirt that says, ” + Add to GymBuddies”
Cool! |

If anyone feels like coming up with some possible designs then feel free to share (you can use info@gyminee.com if you need to attach files). |

Does it need to be professionally drawn? I have a good (fairly new) scanner, but some time back my computer decided it doesn’t exist, so I can’t sketch an idea and scan it. I have an architectural software, but I don’t know if I could use it that way, I’ve never tried something like a sketch. Would a description of it be of any use (emailed to the email addy you mentioned)? Just thought I’d ask. :-) |

Cafepress is a great place to let people purchase gear, because there are so many size and style options. I agree that you need to offer an array of sizes and some girlie (tank or tight fitting shirt) styles too. I usually work out in exercise clothes, not cotton tees, but I would wear a cute tee around the neighborhood or town on the weekends or weeknights when not working out. |

No, don’t worry about doing anything super professional (unless you just really want to). If you just have some textual concepts, then feel free to share them on this forum topic too.
Cool, we’ll be sure to check that out. |

The more I think about it, my idea is too simple, and probably about every gym around has a similar logo (I’m guessing). But, I’ll get it over with and basically describe it. Picture a barbell, a slightly drooping barbell (similar to the shape of a rainbow) because of the heavy plates on the ends. Color black or charcoal gray. Along the bar in bue, is Gyminee. To the left end are 3 plates. Each of the 3 black or charcoal gray plates has (in blue) W so the 3 plates say W W W.. To the right end are 3 plates with one letter on each plate, .c o m. So the arched barbell says WWW. Gyminee .com. Under the arch of the barbell in black text, centered, is: Get Fit Even though it’s not a good idea, I hope you all can imagine what I tried to explain. :-) |

It appears my dumb idea “killed” this thread. I was going to edit it away (since I can’t delete it), but if anyone read it and came back and it’s gone, they may think they were imagining things. So consider my previous post a “speed bump”. lol Now everyone can get back to posting here. |

I don’t think it’s a dumb idea at all. I was hoping some other people would contribute some idea though. Personally, I would like to wear a t-shirt that is kind of funny and gets people curious about Gyminee. At one point I almost made a t-shirt that said on the front “Gymiwhat?”, and then on the back, “www.gyminee.com”. Any other ideas? |

Funny? Now you’re talkin’! This’ll be fun! (Warning, my ideas in this category may self-destruct without warning! So ignor any speed bumps) Front: Let the Fun Begin! (below or above a cartoon of someone lifting montrous weights. Back: “www.gyminee.com” I’ll have to put on my thinking cap, if it isn’t too covered in cobwebs. |

It seems the Sand Man hid my thinking cap, so this will be all for tonight. They aren’t really funny, but it’s late. :-) Back: “www.gyminee.com” Front: 1. Body by Gyminee 2. My Perfect Body’s at Gyminee |

My radio station has been going through the process of t-shirt ideas and merchandise sales. One thing we noticed was that shirts made at online sites like cafe press felt like cardboard. I would not recommend using one of these site to run merchandise off of. While it is easier to use, the quality just isnt there. Perhaps discounts for Pro members? ;-) |

@NC_STeeler33 – Thanks for the pointer. It doesn’t make any sense to do t-shirts if they aren’t comfortable! |
| Jul 7, 2008 2:58am |
We are very excited about the t-shirt project. For one, it is a great way to spread the news with pride. I think the key will be to have a small variety of designs that are consistent in look and feel yet will have appeal to the various tastes of the Gyminee users. As for quality, we will not compromise. I think the idea of some sort of incentive for Pro users also makes perfect sense. |

I am curious as to what other logo’d goods you all would consider using. For example, water bottles, gym towels, key chains. Please feel free to give us suggestions. It really removes the guesswork on our end. |

I wouldn’t mind a shaker (for mixing protein drinks), t-shirts that aren’t white, maybe even a body tape measure. |

Exactly! NOT white t-shirts. And like inko9nito said, offer some that are GIRLIE. |
