So I’ve been using Body Fortress whey protein, but it tastes gross so I want to get some new stuff. I’m looking for some recommendations. I don’t want anything with additives, just whey. I’d also like to stay on the cheaper end of things, so let me know any ideas you guys have. Thank you |

Hey, I love this stuff: Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Natural. I order it from Amazon. Make sure you get the Natural one. |

mate in aus i buy from a wholesaler so you can get a big bag for cheaper. and like you say it is just whey, none of the other crap… so where ever you are in the world see if you can find a wholesaler… |

GNC has a huge sale right now so I ended up getting their GNC 100% whey protein. Two 5lb tubs cost me 66 total and it tastes great. Thanks for the tips though guys, I wanted to get the optimum nutrition, but I couldn’t pass up the sale. |

Next time try out AtLargeNutrition.com’s Nitrean. It tastes like—and mixes as easy as—Quik. I LOVE it. And I’ve tried a LOT of different protein powders. Plus, it has a blend of casein protein in it, so it’s good not only for after a workout, but also for building muscles through the night. I think I just heard it won the Men’s Fitness award for best protein for the second year in a row, too. I usually wait until I find a 20% off coupon online (they do one of these every couple months, just google it). PS The chocolate is the best. The other two flavors are just OK. |

I always find vanilla to be the least offensive flavour regardless of protein brand. Nutrisport 90+ is pretty cheap and reliable in the UK. |

I really enjoy the Syntha 6 chocolate milkshake flavor. Only 200 calories a scoop and it is hands down the best tasting protein powder I have ever used |

I use the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey too – I use the French Vanilla Creme, isn’t too bad with water but also tastes pretty good if you mix with fat-free milk instead of water (I actually look at it as a post-workout treat). Only 120cals er scoop, 1g fat, 4g carbs but 24g protein :) |

I use BSN’s Lean Dessert – Creamy, even when mixed with water. |

I’ve just had a 5lb tub of True Whey (Mint Choc) from myprotein.co.uk – 76g of protein per 100g of powder, and 5% off with a code which I can’t seem to find at the moment…. will add in a min… Here we go – MP196278 |

Go to bodybuilding.com, they have a huge selection. If you like peanut butter, try allmax nutrition peanut butter chocolate, it is the best and it is on sale. I like ON gold standard, ON platinum hydrowhey, Dramatize, BSN Lean Dessert Cinnamon Roll (fabulous) and ON Casein PB |

I Use the Optimum Nutrition Also. I use Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard (several flavors to choose from) during the day and after workouts. My last protein shake of the day is Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Casein™ for a longer lasting absorbtion while sleeping. Ive never used the “Natural” Whey and as far as I can tell from the labels I just looked at the only difference is that “Natural” doesnt use artificial sweeteners. The calories/ carbs/protein are all the same though. Natural has a bit less sodium. Pricing- Just because its a bigger container doesnt mean its cheaper. Always check price divided by amount of servings. If you want to look / compare labels here they are: Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard Rocky Road — 5 lbs at http://www.vitacost.com/Optimum-Nutrition-100-W… Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey™ Rocky Road Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Casein™ Banana Cream Just FYI My Favorite Casein Powder is the Banana Cream and favorite Whey is the Strawberry Banana. But I’m not a huge chocolate fan. |

I use body fortress and for it’s purpose, it does the job. I do not savor my protein shakes. I just mix and gulp it down. If the taste is too offensive, I would suggest chasing it with some other type of drink. Perhaps some orange juice? My point is, I have yet to find any protein mix that I would consider “good tasting”. For the money, body fortress is a really great buy! I have tried them all, from whey protein isolate top of the line name brand to body fortress. The results have been the same except the only difference has been in my pocket book. If you are looking for some real muscle gains, you need to focus on your daily diet. Protein shakes are to be used as fillers to your daily protein intake. Good luck! Antil0ck |

I like ON as well (for whey and casein) but I learned that Vitamin Shoppe will let you return the unused portion for store credit if you get a flavor you don’t like. Just passing it on. I like to find places with good customer service. |
