I would perhaps suggest taking iron occasionally for women. Because of menstrual bleeding. I guess it depends on the person. |

Though Multi-Vitamins can be great, it is possible get all your vitamins and minerals through diet. The human body actually prefers to take a food, break it down and take the nutrients it needs. Although multi-vitamins are beneficial when necessary, it is less expensive and also more fun to try to get your nutrients through a balanced diet (which is necessary with or without the assistance of a multi-vitamin)! Also, as many as half of American women have an iron deficiency! Recently I’ve started trying to incorporate iron-rich foods into my diet for my own iron deficiency. Foods such as beans, peas, green leafy vegetables, eggs, fish, and lean meats are all good for getting iron. Below, I posted a link of Web MD’s iron rich foods list. I hope it’s helpful and can maybe save you some money on expensive supplements:) |

I have found many benefits to adding a multi-vitamin to my daily regimen. It has provided me with better moods and far more energy throughout the day. While it is true as stated below that you can find most of your needed nutrients from changing your diet, it is difficult to eat the recommended daily allowances as stated by the FDA and also noted in this website: http://www.dietandfitnesstoday.com/rda.php |
