I know there are tons of posts regarding protein powders, Ive looked and can’t find one that helps. I’ll will be purchasing my first “jug” of powder this weeked, I’v searched the GNC website and came across a huge variety… Calories/Protein is a major concern, also looking for low sodium, low carbs, and low cholestorol. Anyway, is there a major difference between Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard™ Vanilla Ice Cream BONUS SIZE 350147 and… GNC Pro Performance® 100% Whey Protein – Vanilla 350942 Or am I looking in the wrong place and theres a better store to be getting this stuff from? |

Fitrx.com and bodybuilding.com are good sites to order from-GNC is one of the priciest supp stores out there. I have found FitRx to be 5 bucks cheaper on one protein powder I like. Vitamin Shoppe also has sales. |

Great, I’ll take a look there. As far as ON vs. GNC brand vs. other brands, are they all more or less the same? should I swap back and forth depending on price? or find a brand and stick to it? |

I’ve been taking whey for years, tried them all. I think I’ve posted something similar to this before, the best by far is Optimum Nutrition gold standard. Simply put, it dissolves the best, priced well and is very low carb (if that’s important). Chocolate is the best flavor to mix in water and drink, vanilla is the best for mixing into a smoothie. |

thanks highway, I will take your suggestion… At this point I have a $100 gift certificate from GNC so I’ll buy 1 6lbs container of each, and go to fitrx when I need a refill (which is much cheaper to buy 1, a little cheaper if I buy 2 since GNC does a buy 1 get 1 half off) Thanks! |

I will also add a plug for bodybuilding.com. Everytime I order it gets shipped out the same day, and I always get it the next day! They also have great customer support and usually the lowest prices. |

Never buy from GNC they mark up all their products by at least 20%. I agree with the above poster bb.com ships same day and has never taken longer than two days to get to me in over two years of ordering from them |

Just happened to come across Sam’s Club 5lbs of EAS 100% Whey Protein for 29.00. Seems like a great deal to me, can’t find anything anywhere near that price online. I assume EAS is reputable? For the price seems like you cant go wrong. |

Gold Standard is really good dude. the GNC brand isnt bad.. sometimes you can get it for 30 bucks.. GNC changes their prices atleast 3 times a month (if youre in the store and they got those red tags, take um out and flip um over, they show future prices.. ive saved tons of money doing this) Myofusion is really good, thats what im using now, but pricey.. about 60 bucks for 65 servings, but the quality is really good. |

When I worked for GNC I took the 100% whey because that was returned the most….lol! The ON whey is probably the most sought after from most people that came in but can be pricey as well because the name is def there now. Research bodybuilding.com and find stuff in your price range and try it all it doesn’t hurt, order a bunch of small containers of different brands to try them all… that is what I suggested to my customers at GNC… |

I personally buy my Whey Protein Isolate Ultra-Filtration by the pound from trueprotein.com it is the cheapest per pound I can find, quality whey and mixes easily with anything, another option for you. |
