Subject Description
I started a blog to record my journey to black belt and tournament fighting.

I am a 39 year old stay at home mom to 6 kids who was once 240 pounds. After finding weight lifting and karate, I have dropped 70 pounds and I fight in full contact fights. Last May, in my first full contact fight I won first place in the US Open and just a few weeks ago I won 2nd place in the Kanreikai World Championships in Canada. That is just 17 months since I first walked into the dojo
Never in all my days of changing diapers and baking cookies did I know I was a fighter. Now I can't imagine myself not fighting
