Students - New!

If you're a new member, introduce yourself!

I am a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania. I haven't declared a major yet, but I am leaning towards architecture or visual studies.

I want to get back to my pre-college weight by the summer and increase my overall physical fitness so I can maintain that weight and stay active. I plan on continuing my education after college, and I want to start creating healthy habits now so they're nobrainers later.

Hey,

I'm a sophomore at Whitman College in WA, haven't declared yet, but I'm pretty set on Environmental Studies-Biology as my major.

I joined dailyburn because I played varsity soccer last year, but wasn't enjoying it so I quit. Now I'm playing rugby, but it definitly is not as intense and I still want to eat like I'm working my butt of 6 days a week. I want to get back to being comfortable and feeling good about my body, but I'm having trouble without some reason/motivation. I would also like to get into triathalons, possibly over this summer. If anyone knows a good source for training for that, or any other general motivators, hit me up!

Newbie Alert!

Hi! *waves*. I'm Lisa, 20, studying Justice, hoping to go to university some time next year and do Arts as a double major in Criminology and Criminal Justice. My motivations for weight loss? I had a very unsophisticated breakdown on Facebook at 2AM this morning to my crush because I felt like an unloved ugly ducking with no pretty clothes that fit me. I want people (read: my crush) to see me as more confident and graceful, and to me that equals about 30 kilos lighter.

hey guys! i'm brazilian so i go to college in FAAP, awesome college here...

so yes, we don't have the whole living-in-campus like most of u guys do, so i live in a great apt nearby that i share with my sister, and the worst part: we have a cooker.

a pretty damn good cooker.

pluus, i have all this extra work and courses that sometimes i can't hit the gym, specially now: last week to handle assigment/essays and next week is exams week... so eah, it suucks.

oh, i'm seeking a two-majors degree: Economics and International Relations, so i have double the classes my friends do.

Hey, I'm a sophomore at SUNY Binghamton. I've always been really athletic, but I never had any strength to go with it. So my friend convinced me to start hitting the gym a lot last year to build muscle, and I've been at it since then.

Also, I've been trying to get in shape for either of 2 far-fetched goals I have. I either wanna box, or join the AFL. I know in the back of my mind that neither will happen, but the thought of either of them possibly happening keeps me motivated.

I'm using gyminee to find people with similar goals for motivation and workout ideas.

Sorry for the kinda long intro, anyway, nice to meet you all.

Hey guys, I'm a freshman at UMass Amherst and I'm an Animal Science major. I started using Gyminee 'cause I felt uncomfortable in my own body, and I was disappointed at how much I let myself go after cross country season my senior year of high school. Now, thanks to Gyminee, I'm in even better shape, with less effort.
