Motivation

Cranky Goat: It is good that you have found your path to stay motivated; welcome back to Daily Burn. I have really enjoyed the food lists and the accountability of proving that I have worked out to a group of fantastic global motivators.

New Year - Next Step..

Hi folks, Happy New Year to everyone. I have been struggling to find which online fitness program/iphone app is most useful to me...and it keeps on coming back to DailyBurn!

The good news is that while I may have slacked off using DailyBurn, I have been consistently working with a personal trainer for the past four months and have religiously stuck to a 45 minute high intensity bodybuilding routine for four days a week - every week!

I have put on about fifteen pounds of lean muscle and it feels great. NOW I need to lose the fat, so I'm stepping things up for the New Year and adding an intense cardio workout to the mix... that means working out everyday for at least 45 minutes - tough to do when you work full time as well.

Newbie on here and more

OK so I've been joining sites like this and everything else to help me keep track of things and it looks like this is the one I like the most. I'm all so on twitter @myleilani and facebook but I'm not sure how you find me over there (not that tech friendly)!

My name is Anna but sometimes go by Fluffy Dive or Queen Fluff, I’m totally sick that you could have sex with my back fat (yes I did just say that)and sick of being judged due to my size, so I am working on becoming a Skinny (well not really skinny but lets just say I don’t want to jiggle and shake like a bowl of jello anymore) Health Nut Diva!! On June 2009 my highest weight was 306 and today I am 252 but a few days ago I was 250 (grrr)

My plan is to set up short term goals and make better choices while controlling the stress levels in my life (which is hard when you have a medically fragile child)

Motivated newcomer

I'm James, I'm 33 and I work as a banquet manager in a golf and spa resort in Virginia. Daily Burn has been a huge help at helping me refine my eating habits and discover ways to enjoy food while eating healthy. I'm working to get from a starting weight of about 320 to 200. I work a lot but I like to work out whenever I can work it in.

Hola My New Peeps!!

Well...Hmm...where do I start? About me? Okay, first off - I am 31 years old (gulp!) This is very hard for me to admit - as I used to think ANYTHING close to 30 was old - and well look at at me now?! I've OVER 30!! :)

So as you all know -yup I'm a 'fat ass' - and well honestly in all my life its never much bothered me. However an incident occured last year that made me thing twice - due to complications from my Diabetes - my kidneys had temporarily shut down...I was rushed into the ER with a temp of 104, more sick than i had ever remembered being. It was after 2 weeks in the hospital - and being scared shitless that I'd end up on dialysis that i knew I needed to make a change.

Obviously these changes that I made - were slow...first with the eating habits - which even now still is a challenge. And then in June of last year I began incorporating the ever essential exercise.

And here I am - still a FAT ASS - but I'm in transition...making myself a better person inside and out. The most exciting thing?? I'm no long dependent on medicine to control my Diabetes!! Just diet & exercise...and well finally being under 350lbs is a big deal to me...so now...I'm shooting for getting under 300...but long term? I'd like to weigh in at 185-190lbs.... Its funny - this whole thing - being 'fit' is something so new to me...VERY exciting and rewarding...Hard work...but I'm excited!!

I'm really look forward to being a motivator to all of you out there and well lets face it - I NEED your support too!! Take care and hope to hear from you soon!!!

Hi

I'm Bobski. I'm at University studying music and working alongside that on top of all the concerts that I do. It's quite a challenge fitting everything in so I end up getting up early to work out. I've lost 30 pounds over the past 2 years and I plan on loosing another 30 more in time for my Masters graduation next year. I'm also looking for gymbuddies to keep me motivated. xx

Hi!

I'm Skylar and I'm twenty-two. Last October I weighed about 200 lbs, now I'm down to 161. I hope to get to 145 in a few months and reevaluate my goals then. Gained a bunch of weight in college and now I'm down to the weight I was after high school. Still pretty lumpy though, so I'm going to get my BMI and body fat percentage to a healthier place.

Hey! im Evan, i am about 75 lbs overweight. i carry my weight well and nobody can look at me an guess that i weigh as much as i do. My wife is a great southern cook, and the fried foods got me.. i gained 60 lbs after we got married in the past year and a half. my motivation is my baby girl that will be here late june. i hope to lose 25 lbs by then atleast. i work full time and i go to school full time, i have no time for a quality gym work out. so i do p90x in my home. an hour before the rest of the world wakes up... i am the most motivated ive ever been. my family has a history of heart problems, and i dont want to die young and leave my wife and children, behind in a bind. my goal is 70lbs, in 35 weeks or less...

Hello!

Hi, my name is Cathlyn and my ultimate goal is to weigh 120. In 2007, I got down to about 138 from 171 but then life hit me hard and slowly, the weight crept back on....I was about 168 just this year :( To try to get the weight off, I was going to the gym at least 3 hours a day but it wasn't working (probably because of all the taco shop I would eat with my bf... we love our mexican food). I finally realized that I have had too many "only one bite" or "just today" or "I'll start tomorrow". So far, I have lost almost 10 pounds and counting. So any motivation, tips, whatever I would greatly appreciate. Losing weight is not easy.

Hi, I'm Annalise

My name is Annalise. I am 28 years old. I live in southern California and work as a material program manager and find myself at my computer most of the day. Over the past 7 years I have gained 25-30 lbs, or about 25% my body weight. My goal is to get rid of that weight and make exercise a lifestyle. I have been able to lose about 5-6 lbs over the past 2 months and want to continue this trend. My ultimate goal is to lose 25 more lbs by September 1, 2009 (about 3 weeks before my 10 year high school reunion). All encouragement is greatly appreciated!

Jademaid's Goals

I'm Amber, a 22 year old who has lost almost 50 pounds. I started my weight loss back in September. I am very close to my goal weight of 135 pounds. Once I reach that goal, I will then continue working on tightening my tummy and maintaining that weight within 5 pounds. I'm very happy with my progress so far and hope to reach my weight goal by Easter. I'm looking forward to having more friends on Gyminee and helping to keep others motivated! :) So, if you're looking for some advice or inspiration... I'm only a few clicks away!
