Hello all - I just was curious on some motivational tips, when you're less than enthused to head to the gym?
I tend to follow a normal pattern where I am motivated focused and then after four or five months loose all interest. I'd really like this year not to do that and just remain consistent and steady well forever.
Any tips would be great!

Make it a habit
One of the ways I discovered to keep myself going to the gym is make it a habit even on my week off. During my week off, I do something different that I wouldn't normally do such as learn a new exercise machine or cardio machine.
By having "fun" for a week, it renews my desire to begin my new 6 week cycle.
What really made all the difference for me was taking on a specific workout plan. I decided to do the 12-week workout at realjock, and it is a specific day by day plan for 12 weeks. Knowing that I had the whole plan laid out in front of me got me to the gym nearly every day that I was supposed to in a way that I really hadn't been as good about before. I strongly recommend it. Once I had the results from that, I found that I felt strange when I didn't go. Now it would be hard for me to imagine not going for any length of time.
I recently joined daily burn. I'm 38 (87 kg) and have a personal trainer about 2x per week. Why would I need a motivator? Well, it's for the in between times as well as for food - have a sweet tooth and like fine wine - all the bad stuff. Anyway, I want to reduce my body fat over the next 28 weeks from it's current 26% down to about 15%. The hardest part I guess will be maintaining the momentum especially as work gets crazy and trying to squeeze everything in.
Anyway, would really like to hear from people who have similar challenges.
