why do you row?

hello, new members:

why do you row? what do you like most about it?

I began this spring because I wanted a new fitness activity, and rowing has been great for that. But I find I really enjoy the water, the scenery, and the feeling of accomplishment when some small aspect of my technique gets a little better.

Tonight's row was short because it's getting dark so early in the evening. I estimate I burned about 400 calories.
