I was a little sore after my first run, (butt and quads) I think the hot bath after day 1 really helped!!! and I felt good for accomplishing day 1 and ready to hit day 2.

It had stopped snowing/raining (it was 37 degrees) so the snow although compacted from my previous run, was slushy and slippery. I ran again in snow boots (I'll feel light as a gazelle when I run without snowboots!) I felt a little fatigued this time but kept going. It seemed my HR had increased a little bit more from my 1st run but I attributed it to the conditions again today, plus I felt a little colder (forgot to put on my goretex pants over my running pants). I was happy to hear "Michael" announce I was halfway done. The second half went by faster because I had more or less knew where my "transitions" were on my run. That and someone had stopped me to ask a question (I didn't want to stop to answer....I wanted to say "Hey, I'm in training, can't stop but I did answered the question and then just ran again until I heard the 5 min cool down. Wow! I completed 2 runs now! I'm on my way to nailing that 5K!!!

Started 2/28 W1D1

I wish I could say I laced up my sneakers and began the C25K program on a nice sunny day but I didn't...

We had just gotten pummeled by a second foot of snow following a foot of snow the day before but I wasn't going to let that stop me. So I donned my light weight snow jacket, goretex pants, gloves snow boots and heart rate monitor and my Iphone and listened to "Michael" tell me to begin with a 5 min walking warm up. I have downloaded some Sheryl Crow to listen to while I'm on this program to get a good beat and off we went. With intervals of Michael telling me to walk and run (90 sec walk and 1 min run) soon enough he was saying I was halfway done. This didn't seem too difficult (except for running in the 4 wheeler tracks). That I completed the first 20 min walk/run and then was at my 5 min cool down. I felt pretty good completing it and energized (and sweaty). Took a hot bath to ease my muscles. I CAN DO THIS!!!
