Best Home Fitness Equipment?

Discussion started by fitplusfree

Subject Description

So far my "best buys" include:

*Pull up bar

*Stability Ball

*Perfect Pushup

*Adjustable Bench

I'm looking to pick up a heavy resistance cable soon too (those rubber tubes with handles).

I'm loving my stability ball, too.  It's affordable and really gives me a good workout (the feet on ball pike kills me!)

The dumbbells are also great, but I was extremely suprised how expensive they can get and have resorted to buying 1 of various weights.

I'm also looking into resistance bands.

Home Fitness Workouts by FitDeck

I often use no equipment for my exercise but definitely use FitDeck as a guide.

If you have a cell phone (especially BlackBerry), you'll have to check out our FitDeck app at

If I am using equipment, I typically use a pull-up bar and/or stability ball.

resistance bands

resistance bands are a must have for me. You can do so many exercises with it, and you really feel your muscles working if you do the exercises correctly. I also love my stability ball.

A VKR Station with pull-up bar is a good item to have for about $100.

I love my TRX. Tons of things to do with it. I made my own.

I also use:

a step (for strength training not step aerobics)

  balance ball

  ab roller

  hand weights

My husband introduced me to kettlebells when we 1st met, and I was hooked.  I HATED lifting weights, but the compound kettlebell movements make my workout more enjoyable.  Plus, they make for a great workout!

Hey, I don't use any equipment at home... i have a few weights and a rope, but wii balance board would be "the thing", 'cause you will be burning without even notice.
