Food intake during and after work out

We all know that you're suppose to have some protien within an hour or less of your work out to get the best gains. I have incorporated taking some during workout with my own power drink concoction. A little Vega protein powder, whey, creatine and some smoothy stuff from my P90 package. It gives me a boost when I am fading, and I don't have to worry about missing my protein. Moreover I don't use the regular amounts its a thinned down version and I keep the already mixed powders in an old Vitamin container and mix it into a water bottle with a tight lid for shaking the ingredients well.
