Ok, that makes sense. Our other podcasts we use to listen to music and kind of get ourselveds pumped up before the show. Maybe we'll try that on the next few :)

We really do appreciate the feedback too! Thanks!

Thanks Wisemanleo!

I've been accused more than once of being "laid back". I could definately step my enthusiasm up. I am excited about what we are doing but I want other people to hear that excitement in my voice.

It's definitely the production quality. The intro, segment bumpers, etc, is all just icing on the cake.

The core ingredients of that cake, i.e., your content, is great. But perhaps not mixed too well.

If I was to pinpoint one thing, perhaps the energy and enthusiasm in your voices? I'm not talking cheerleader-level enthusiasm, but I think if more excitement can be added to the podcast in some way or another, an excitement that matches what you truly feel about nutrition and fitness, can definitely get more people to resonate and say, "Hey! I wanna be like that too," at which point, it's already decided - they've gotta follow your advice to get to that point.

Hope this helps!

First off, thanks for the feedback. We really want to make the show something people want to listen to.

I've listened to one of the shows you pointed out, and read your comments, but I'm still a little unclear about what you don't like so much. Is it the production quality? Like the opening? Think we need segment bumpers?

Or is it subject content? Or lack of? or something else?

Thanks again! We appreciate all the feedback.

Thanks for the feedback.

We want the podcast to be better than "just some people talking" We are trying to provided helpful and organized information in a way that others will also benefit. I sometimes feel like we might not get the most important points across as good as we could. We will keep working on it! Also, we don't want to completely take out the human element either. I think my brother Brent struggles with things that other people can relate too, so I don't want to bury that. Thanks again for the feedback! We want the show to be great and I think it will be.

That's great to hear.

First, I truly appreciate the efforts and will follow your progress. There are lots of good advice contained wthin for all levels of nutrition- and fitness-conscious peoples.

Buuut as it stands, the execution really needs to be improved quality-wise. For example, take a look at http://www.thenewmanpodcast.com/.

Like your podcast, it too is also a interview/discussion style podcast aimed at improving one's lifestyle. I really like the execution of this podcast, and you can really get a good quality feel out of it. I sometimes even think that it's podcast lengths are too short.

Your podcast, however, to put it critically but politely, is just a bunch of people talking. Just that. Someone skimming by and browsing podcasts won't stick around. It's just like scanning through a radio station, right? You'd stick to the station that grabs your attention in the first second or so.

Anyway I hope I didn't strike as being rude, as I do appreciate your efforts here. There're just too many "junk" podcasts out there talking about useless things and not enough on fitness and nutrition.

Thank you for reading!

Yes, we are always open to suggestions.

In the past, we have dedicated entire shows to listeners questions. The whole idea for starting the eatsmart website and show was to make it an interactive experience where we can all help each other. Also, I'm a registerd dietitian and love to answer any questions I can. Also, tell us what you like and don't like. The whole podcast thing is kinda new to me so still working on it.

Podcast Phrase of the Day?

I'm not sure if I'm not listening carefully or not. But if I read the rules right, there's a certain phrase of the day that I'm supposed to catch for each podcast? Or am I just supposed to pick any important point I catch and send that over?
