Subject Description
So, I'm 200lbs... and 6'9", which still leaves me skinny as hell.
I've joined gyms a few times with the goal being "gain ten pounds of lean mass", and almost always lose my motivation soon after 10-15 lbs; gains come very, very, very slowly.
The two things I've done to stay motivated successfully have been:
- Train for an event, whether it's a 5k, triathlon, or anything, really.
- Measure success by how much I can lift (dumbbell press, squat, and row), and not by any weight change.
Anyways, what keeps you motivated? I just rejoined a gym after I ducked under 200 lbs, and really need some inspiration on this one.
