Subject Description
I thought we needed a thread that would kick off this forum, maybe give us a better way to introduce ourselves.
Obviously you joined this group because the handle spoke to you: "Yeah, I wanna Unite with my fellow Geeks!!" *joined group*
But what made you join? What's your special brand of geekery? Are you into video games, art, comics, anime, foreign cultures, martial arts, biking, sewing, reading, movies, TV shows...what?
Chat it up. My curiosity is piqued.

RE: What makes me geek out@proudgamer Man, I gotta finish FFXII. My thesis got in the way at the time and then I never got back on. I also bought a Wii...that's a good distraction for a bit. I recall Balthier being my favorite though. :) And man, has anyone else noticed the forum function on this site is kinda...nonsensical? No reply function? I totally agreeI totally agree with your suggestion.
I am about 3/4 of the way through FF XII myself. The boss fights were getting a bit to epic to be a good play after work game which killed it a bit for me. Have you ever tried FF X-2 the one with Yuna as the star? It was panned by many FF fans because it was too light and goofy compared to other Final Fantasy games. I love it because it is light and goofy ^_^
There is something else I should add, I am a sucker for free MMO games. So if anyone wants to play Megaten, PuzzlePirates, Mabinogi, Perfect World, Sword of the New World or just about anything else, let me know. I am pretty well set up in Kingdom of Loathing so if anybody needs a newbie care package let me know. . . . perhaps I should start an online game thread. Yay for FFOh look! Fellow FF geeks! ^_^ I'm still on my very first FF game (FFX), but I'm already addicted to it. I went out and bought FFX-2, and borrowed X from a friend. So, yeah. Video games and rpgs sure classify me as a geek. I also read a lot (or did. Spent more time on games, lately), I enjoy a lot of anime/mangas, and OH, I'm a band geek. RE: Yay for FFHave you ever visited Crunchyroll.com for anime? You should check out Mom's Life (Mainichi Kaasan). There's only one episode available for public viewing on the site right now, the second will be up soon. The third episode is currently airing in Japan (Crunchyroll gets the new stuff up fast).
