MMORPGsI'm a big fan of MMORPGs. Spent my sophomore year of college addicted to Everquest and have since settled into World of Warcraft. I love(d) the Diablo games and got into Starcraft for a while too. Posted by gbgeek on Apr. 16, 2009 at 11:11AM |

RE: MMORPGSI've played Warcraft for 6 hours total (though it was all at one time, haha). What sucks is that I know I can't really start playing and allow myself to get sucked into the game, as much as I may want to, if only because there's just too much going on right now to let myself blow too much time on the computer (as I sit here playing on gym forums). I keep telling myself as soon as I settle down in my own place, my fiance moves in, we both have jobs and are finally comfortable-ish, we'll set up a dual station with nice rigs and big flatscreen monitors and nerd it out with WoW. Until then, my Tauren fem-warrior will have to wait to be born. lol Posted by Wabisabichan on Apr. 16, 2009 at 03:35PM |

free is preferableI am easily addicted to rpgs. Very easily. However, I have no extra cash so I can't play any of the good games like WoW. So, if anyone knows some good, free, online rpgs, do tell. :D Posted by musingmelody on Apr. 17, 2009 at 12:08AM |

I am a free to play gamerI am a huge fan of the free to play/pay for extras busness model.
Here are some downloadable MMORPGs I play. http://megaten.aeriagames.com/ A great fantasy/Sci-fi http://swordofthenewworld.gamersfirst.com/ Alternate history Fantasy http://mabinogi.nexon.net/Preview/intro.htm Anime/Casual RPG http://www.runesofmagic.com I haven't checked this out yet, but it is a fantasy RPG that is getting rave reviews. A few Browser games worth checking out. http://www.kingdomofloathing.com A suprisingly content rich Humor/Fantasy with great stick-figure gaphics ^_^ http://www.estiah.com/ Fantasy RPG http://www.civony.com/ a town simulator
I can go on forever as my twitter thread (Proudgamer) is dedicated to showing people the online games I play, but here are two gold mines to check out that each link to a TON of free games. http://www.mmosite.com/ and http://www.bbgsite.com/

Free RealmsI am in the Free Realms Beta. It is a kid friendly MMO with a ton of mini-games. The nice thing is it is light and easy enough to be kid friendly, but content rich enough to appeal to older casual gamers. A nice after work chill out game. I play on the free WoW servers from time to time over at scapegaming.com (Blizz High Rate realm). It takes a bit of patients (and luck) to get the installs running correctly but you can't argue with free. Posted by ManOfVirtues on Apr. 22, 2009 at 02:06PM |

WoWI used to play World of Warcraft a year back and was really into it and the raiding scene. But since I began college, I knew I had to let it go and I haven't been back since and don't plan on ever coming back. The game is fun... BUT way to time consuming anymore. (And if memory serves me correct, Blizzard has made the game too easy and boring). Posted by Izzmo on May. 06, 2009 at 07:00PM |

AQ WorldsI've never really been much into games like WoW, until I was introduced to Adventure Quest Words (www.aq.com). Fun stuff, and you can play for free. Posted by hostsofheaven on May. 07, 2009 at 01:49PM |

I love gaiaonline.com...I know they're a bunch of little chibi characters, but I love the "battle system". zOMG! is free to play and doesn't make me feel bad when I die twenty times in the same spot. I think it's the only online game I've stayed with because I'm just so bad at gaming. One of my friends plays WoW every day - I definitely lack the dedication. And the bank account.
