Try to get you body fat percentage
The best way to know if you're loosing fat (which is what you want to lose), is to measure it. So you'll know for sure.
There are several ways to measure your body fat, and none are really extremely accurate (at least not the one you can use at home). There are portable devices, scales and calipers to do it. Calipers are supposed to be the most accurate, if you know how to use them.
I use a scale. The figure might not be quite accurate, but it's at least some sort of mark so you know if you're gaining or losing fat. Try to do it at the same time of the day in the same conditions, especially the same hydration conditions (don't do it once after a workout and once after lunch for example, do it always in the same conditions.
If you do it in the same conditions, you'll have a pretty accurate view of the evolution of your body fat. Maybe the number will not be accurate, but at least you know how your body is reacting to your diet/workout.
As for the number of calories you're eating per day, it all depends on how much your burning (quite a few from how you describe your workout) and what's inside these calories you're eating. If they are all fat and sugar, not so good.
