I got one for Valentine's day

And Love it!!! My only problem is I'm such an achievement nut that I overworked myself the first day because I wanted to unlock more things.

I also love it because, I'm assuming that the scale should be very accurate? My scale that I've been using weighs me at 8 lbs more than the scale in the Wii Fit!

Video game fun excersize

I think the success of this program is that it makes excersize fun. Also, you find yourself forgeting the person leading you is not real. The leaders actually motivate me. Sure beats sitting on the couch with a bag of chips watching Jerry.

Ha,

I do all the yoga, a couple of strength and 2 balance. I have to say that I wish that I could do these exercises all the way through without so much feedback on each and so much stopping to select the next exercise. Maybe a yoga routine will come as a set option in the next upgrade. I love the tool, but wish I could go faster through the work-out. I think if I were using it just 1 or 2 times each week the feedback would feel good. Yet, using it more often....The program is working!

I have started exercising more with my Wii Fit. I wish that another member of the family could do it at the same time. I see on the remote that it has an A AND B or something like that...can I buy another board and two people do it? If so, how much is a board?

I have to say that the space between exercises really slows down the workout...does anyone use favorites as a way to go faster...I wish they would do several exercises in a row and then do the feedback..for speeds sake.

Anyway, the thing really works, I get a great work-out!

Yea I just love exercising on the Wii. Both Wii Sport and Wii Fit. The latest thing going on in this household is Helix. It's a small downloadable game but it is simply great for getting an upper aerobic workout. Here's a short blogpost about the game:

Best Christmas gift EVER

The grandparents bought the kids a Wii Fit for Christmas and I have to say it is probably the best Christmas gift this family has ever received. Both kids are already active with afterschool athletics, but tend to become couch potatoes when they get home. This has kept them moving and gotten me off the couch as well!!!

Stepping good for those work-from-home days

I've had a couple of times where I've been on long conference calls where I'm just mostly listening rather than actively talking or presenting, and I'll turn on the "Free Step" game and just do that while I'm on the phone. Nice way to multi-task and burn some calories while I would normally be sitting on my butt :)

Gateway Drug for Exercise

I call the Wii Fit my "gateway drug" for exercise, because it gets you up and moving but it barely seems like a change in routine to do the half-hour a day that's recommended. What finally got me into further exercise was my intense loathing of running in place...I liked getting my heart rate up, but I couldn't stand running without going anywhere! Although the one time I got to chase the onscreen puppy was neat. Now I walk in the park for an average of four miles a day, and I usually do some yoga or strength training on the Wii Fit afterwards. I've become so used to this daily exercise that went through a bit of withdrawal when my friend borrowed it for a week!

The wi fit is genious.. If you follow the trainer and go the speed they do it really kicks your butt. Running is my favorite and all the balance exercises.. I highly suggest getting a wii fit..

Yes, I think it does work. I don't have a lot of time for classes or a gym, so this is a good way for me to get a regular short workout which includes different types of exercise. Obviously doing six or eight yoga poses isn't going to be the same as going to a yoga class, but it's much better than no yoga at all, which is what I was doing before Wii Fit!

Still no Wii Fit

As the Wii Fit seems to be virtually unobtainable in England, I was pinning my hopes on getting one in Spain, my son said they had a lot there and he had no trouble buying one when they first came out. But when we went shopping last week it appears that Spain is now into Guitar Hero instead! I shall keep trying.

Weighing in on the Wii Fit

Don't worry about anyone seeing your actual weight. When you weigh in it just tells you your BMI. If you want to know your weight you can hit the weight button and it will tell you. Also you can put a password on your Mii so you're the only one that can look at your weight graph. I hope this info helps.

I haven't managed to get a Wii Fit yet but I should have one on the next couple of weeks, I'm really looking forward to it. There is only one thing that concerns me slightly and I hope you guys will be able to give me some advice. I am paranoid about anyone knowing my weight - will my husband see this info when he uses the Wii fit? I know it's a silly thing to worry about, but what can I say, I'm silly!

Hi everyone! I LOVE the Wii Fit!!! I hate to exercise so I'll do it for a week and then I quit. With the WF I have been exercising for at least 3 time a week for a month. Now if I can just keep the diet going, I'm in business. I have 30 pounds to loose before October! Eek! So far, so good, I haven't lost anything yet (the diet part is the problem) but at least I'm getting off the couch.

Skeptical at first

Now that I have used it every day since its release I am now up to additional reps and other exercises that are providing good exercise. I really appreciate the visual indicators to make sure that proper form and timing is kept which gets more from the workout. I never have done Yoga in my life but find the stretching with balance to be a nice addition to my workout. The fun of competing for the top score with other family members is probably the most motivational.
