Weight Loss for Women - Newbie needing motivation

I am new to the daily burn. I am looking to find some motivators that can help to keep me on track. I am 26 years old, getting ready to get married in April 2012. I am motivated to workout for obvious reasons of looking good in the dress, but also for myself. Before I starting dating my fiancee I was 40 pounds lighter than I am now and worked out 5 days a week. I am desperately trying to go back to the lifestyle I once knew. He has started to workout, which gives me the motivation I need at home, but I would also like to find people here that could help...people that don't know me, but are going through the same journey(weight loss) and can give good advice.

Newbie needing motivators

Hi guys. I'm new to this and am thinking I need some motivation. Not from the exercise poin t of view but from the eating point of view.

I want to lose 8lbs to go back to the size I was last year and go to the gym about 5 times a week. I eat a very healthy diet (i.e. meals) EXCEPT when I get bored and end up snacking of rubbish. I moved to a new city a year ago and have met noone!!! I am very much alone here so find it hard not to get depressed and eat.

Basically, I need someone to motivate me to stay away from the biscuit tin! Please help!

Let's be motivators

I think I'm pretty good at motivating others but somehow still let myself slide off track. My goal now is to lose 25lbs by new years run in a 5k. Eventually I want to lose about 45 lbs total and do a 10k.

Willing to motivate...

While I am not in the same boat (no dresses in the future plans), I do understand that need for a good motivator. While I have been using daily burn for the last few months, I do not have any motivators yet. I would be happy to help encourage and support if you would be willing to do the same. I know that with the school year starting, I will need all the motivation I can get to stick with my activities!

Motivation for you...therapy for me :)

Hi Ladies, I would love to be motivators for you...and maybe I add a different perspective. I was just married in February and unfortunately I HATED how I looked. We got married within a month of our engagement (no shotgun baby stuff, but because of work and travel stuff, wanted to get it done right away) so I never had the chance that you had to get in shape for that perfect wedding dress. I would love to be a motivator for you and to help me get back in shape not just for the rest of my life. Isn't that the real goal? Look great in a wedding dress, but break those bad habits that come with great relationships to live a long happy and healthy life with our loved one?

Same boat

I am almost in the same boat. My fiancee and I were both at a healthy weight over 3 years ago. We had a son, and now we've both gained around 60-80 lbs. We want to get married, but I wouldn't be happy wearing a wedding dress at the weight I'm at now. I'm also looking for a motivator!
